All goods are declared regardless of customs union.
Its done by a computer..7 million declarations equals 1 mins of computer time , its just an add on to the transport paperwork.

Job knows more about haulage than the Road Haulage Association. Seems legit.

He was definitely right. So we should believe the 'bloke in the pub' who told you that.

I dont think they were in a pub..it sounded like a BBC studio.

I would have thought hauliers that depend upon moving goods across to Europe and back would have AEO status by now, then all the UK has to do after we leave is recognise that and the problem goes away.

Sounds like any hauliers who have thought ahead will clean up.

Then if there's problems at Dover, just send your freight through the Chunnel, as they've been ready for no deal for ages.

Clearly the industry body doesn’t know its stuff.

The guy who runs the ports themselves doesn't see an issue, and neither do the people who run the Chunnel. But then they've been preparing for No Deal since the referendum.

Gove was on the radio this morning insisting the vote was 100% definitely on. But we're used to that from the likes of him.

Incidentally it's 900 days now since the referendum. A lot longer than it was between the last two general elections.

You mean the 2015 General Election where the winning party stood on a ticket to give us a referendum on our membership of the EU, a referendum which sailed through Parliament and then resulted in the biggest turnout in history? Then in the next General Election, parties which promised to respect the result of the referendum won over 80% of the vote, with parties suggesting to cancel Brexit ending up in the wilderness.

So please, tell me again how we need another vote on this? And feel free to point out how the Loser's Vote, with options of Remain or Remain -, is in any way consistent with the voting pattern over the last 3 years.

Unless, of course, we're just voting until we get the right answer.

33 million >>>>> 1,000.
Yes but it's not the point. Opinion is headed that way. Everyone knows it. A 2nd indyref after Brexit is much more likely to go for independence. Not least because scots were told independence would jeopardise their place in the EU. It could easily be won.

None of which changes the point that electorates can change their mind after a few years, especially when it was a narrow majority in the first place.

Everyone knows it? Well, I'm convinced.

P.S Polls ever since the Brexit referendum have shown no appetite for Independence north of the border. Remember more Scots voted to leave the EU than voted for the SNP last time round, so it's not as if Leave is an unpopular result North of the border.

Meaningless comparison. Scotland voted 62% for Remain. Brexit will be unpopular north of the border.

If you leave, we'll just come and raid you all over again, but this time it'll probably be easier seeing as the country is already in ruins
