No matter how crap an offence might be there's really a huge chance to concede a goal if you just play behind the center for 45 minutes. The defenders WILL do a mistake at some point.
Ericsson mostly to blame imo, he has helped England work more as a team but he has an obsession with defense that is becoming silly. You would think he would have learnt something from the game with the French.

But he had to lose that penalty, a good player's career almost guarantees 100% that at some point you will lose a penalty that will cost your national team the qualification
