Youre missing the point - part of the game is politics and propaganda, and motivating your people. Anyone who thinks you can just try organising a mass rvr event without some politicking and other similar mlarkey go ahead, i'll be here to say "told you so" when you fail.

No im not missing the point, the point is this is a game, thats it, end of story, its the people who insist on comparing what happens in the real world to what happens in our virtual world who are missing the point (thats if they havent lost the plot already).

I give up - the post wasn't meant to say "the game is as serious as the real world" and should be taken that serious. Its a pissing game, i log off when im bored/annoyed with it - like this evening - steamrolled 10+ times in a short space of time - game ceased to be fun so /qtd and just spent 2 hours watching a movie. The game has NO bearing on the real world. Step away from your keyboard and theres no elves!

However i'm drawing real world analogies to help people understand why Albion gets so much shit thrown at it. Analogy:a comparison between things which have similar features, often used to help explain a principle or idea

I've explained as much as I can, you either have enough experience in what i'm talking about to understand it, or you don't :) Btw what character do you play these days - i assume your ranger is retired since its been over a year since i saw him in rvr?

But ingame, you are the enemy and MUST die.

whatever - you do take this a shit load more seriously than me tbh.

For the record - I would meet anyone here even Kinetix if they would let me visit and drink in the asylum :D

Seriously I do think a lot of these guys would be a laugh in the pub.

Some people fail to see some of the CORE concepts of this game.

on pvp level,

This is a game about conflict. it puts people against people.

The game has no single claim about fairness. it`s not CS, it`s not team quake.

it`s not about me vs you or us 4 agianst you 4, it`s US against THEM.

Us and them have no fixed numbers, and don`t fight with equal weapons.

This is a game about STRIFE and HATE. You can admire or respect your enemie, but most of all, you want him dead.

It`s a dog eat dog game, not a walk in the park.

If you go through the gate of sauvage, drumm, or whatever other portal keep, you enter hostile teritory.

ANYTHING GOES THAT IS WITHIN THE RULES once you pass the portal keeps gates.

this is the most vulgar and aggresive game i know BY DESIGN and I LOVE IT. In few other games you can hurt the opposition as hard as in this game tbh.

out there it is TOTAL WAR.

War is not about being nice to the enemy (ingame).

it gets sad though when people can`t draw the difference between ingame and outgame reactions towards eachother though.

true , without pretext of total war this game wouldnt work on pvp level , but you need to acknowledge the fact that this game has a social level also wich the AC raiding hurts.

if it´s possible to get rid of AC raiding as an often used resort i dont know , but its not enough to only look at pvp level of the game when determening impact of AC raids.

oh and if not taken deadly serious no games are fun :)

how long ago was the last TRUE AC raid ?

stop refering to late night raids as AC raids.

the results may be the same, they way they happen are not.

there is a big difference.

semantics in current context , my post was obviously aimed at effect of taking relics at un-odinly hours and why you cant solely look at this on a pvp level when determening effects , no specific realm date or relic mentioned :)

so...the difference is, you take crim t4 or something at 7pm, go afk at snowdonia till 2am come back and continue your relic raid? there isn't much of a difference other then you stay online check /who's on other realms etc, instead of waking up at a certain time...there isn't much difference in lameness tbh

Mr. Gazon, you simply just seem like a really nice person. All your incredible posts simply steams of integrity and.....stuff....

I hope some day i can be like you!!

As for the rest of the thread.. I will attack an alb over a hib at any time, i do not really know why but i guess it is just the little things. Albs have more players, albs have 1 (maybe 2) guilds that keep doing AC raids, albs seem to have so many more that play sorcerers (for reasons unknown, but i really do hate that class), albs have horner, albs have horner, albs have horner etc..

I do like some of the albs but i just find hibs more cuddly, so therefore i am looking to sing up for the mighty HIBGUARD alliance of doooooom!!11

Hate to break it to you, but Vriezer is one of the most up-front players - he says what he does and does what he says :twak:

Now, remove the specifics and look at the overall picture, but lets rewind to pre-NF and look at that first. Mid/Hib struggled badly in times past to unite (perhaps due to numbers, perhaps due to raid leaders - the reasons are unimportant - the fact remains Hib/Mid raids were rare in the past - and having played hib during that past i can tell you it was because the majority of people were not sufficiently motivated to go through the rigmarole of a long raiding process).

Sorry mate your memory is either very faulty or you trying to twist things badly. Pre-NF Hibs were the masters at RR's and we had excellent leaders (Saaydist come to mind as one top notch leader) and we had the record for fastest RR succesfully completed if i remember right. To top it off we were the masters of prime time raids as well so i dont know what bad time you are talking about.

Hib had perma three relics, well pretty much (power ones) and mids had the str relics pretty much perma as well and it was the albs that struggled as always to do succesfull prime time raids a lot. Has to be said though that when they did manage to successfully get the str relics they were AC'd back by mids. I Know hibs are not totally innocent with AC raids but as far as i can remember we have been the ones to do em the least.

Its only with NF that albs manged to get there hands on relics as it made things a lot easier to move the zerg about and got rid of a lot of the old choke points that could be easilly defended by small numbers. Admitedly the other realms started to do AC raids more after NF arrived.

But as far as i can remember that the AC raids had died out pretty much well apart from a mid one a while back which they did on hib and they lost the same relic the next night when we AC'd them back. Things seemed to have calmed down and people had accepted that maybe better to leave things as they are as it was more balanced.

Personally i would remove the damn things from the game as they bring far too much inbalance to the game and going by all the whining going on here cause a lot of bad feeling. Then i would also revamp DF as well to have a lot better drops and different mobs also so as to make it a attractive place to pve and maybe place a few of the artifact encounters in there so as to make it worthwhile for people to take keeps again so as to be able to access them.

The fastest ever raid was indeed done by hibs but it was on the snowdonia power relic keep which doesn't really count ;)

The albs problem of getting hold of the power relics was purely down to where the relic keep was in OF. It was by a LONG shot the furthest relic keep away from a safe portal out of any of the 3 realms and it was also the only one which wasn't on a hill making it easier to attack and stop people from entering.

Also rvr wasn't very often held in albion, thus why attackers tended to get a large forceto the keep with relative ease. Getting through amg in emain was nearly impossible without being detected.

The strength relics after the first year or so swapped quite a lot between albion and midgard. I'm not saying who did what, just that they swapped hands a lot :)

I guess it started at the begining.

Im probably older than you & my mums not around any more, in 20 years i'll be retired & living in a nice hot country drawing a nice fat government pension (the joy of being a civil servant), though i doubt i'll still be posting on Freddyshouse.

You however will probably still be a dipshit justifying why its all nice & rosy to play like a twat in a computer game. :wanker:
