Perhaps all of this could be avoided if, rather than showing 'banned' under his name, you could show 'suspended', and lock his account for a day or two.

Its all about popularity, if your popular you can get away with more before you get banned. Then you get hoardes of people screaming for moderators blood.

Just accept it. Warnings would be nice, yes there is inconsistancy, but wazz and clowneh as Embattle said have probably had lots of close misses before. Yes so have other people, but who is to say they arent close to being banned as well? No one knows except BW themselves, so why moan.

Clowneh is only suspended anyway, he does troll more than a lot of others, some may find it funny, some don't. What matters is what GAME/BW and the mods see as funny and acceptable.

And yes, posting swearing in the context of typing a reply is quite different to creating a whole image saying it. It's also true that the mods aren't going to ban every person that screws up, but will make examples when things go to far, and they will choose people who have come to their attention in the past.

Oh and dont let this thread turn into a flame. It's a discussion at the moment, yes their have been some bad things said about the poeple that were banned, but it doesnt mean that their firends have to leap to their defense and insult back.

Consider the past few days all you've posted has been littered with "yarrrrrr" and "shiver me timbers" I fail to see the difference between him saying "gr8 m8" (I don't recall him posting "fuck off" unless it was with something else, and not as randomly).

The difference is that everybody was having a laugh with the pirates (apart from a few detractors). I don't remember posting pirate stuff before the pirate invasion, and I won't be doing it afterwards either.

95% of DAoC forum posters should be banned according to your logic. Hardly any (on a "demographic" scale) have been suspended or banned.

The ammount of verbal diarrhea posted there is amazing... people who know me might know why I've flamed my guts out there back in ye days of olde...
