I expect you're using different routers. I suggest downloading pingplotter, leaving it to trace to the DAOC server while you play and then sending the file to NTL support with a request to get it fixed.
Aye, but this has nothing to do with on-line gaming, it's your connection so will ultimately affect other things. You don't need to say it's got anything to do with on-line gaming, just say that it is severely interrupting your service.
Last 2 nights from Oldham using NTL 1MB connection had too many LD's to play and a 14 second delay from entering command to seeing result. Has been more latency than packet loss though
Always seems to happen when I get in a good group aswell, Sods law I guess
Note: NTL recently modified their entire network to upgrade 128k service to 150k service, this took place on 23rd april..... this is likely the cause probably a DNS or proxy failiure somewhere
I'm having the same problems as everyone else... almost got my wizzy killed, couldn't use spells everytime i pressed a button the lag meter went red for 10seconds
I have the 1mb NTL connection and I ld 4 times and constant loss only started happening after 7 . The loss was jumping red to green constantly. It is only with daoc got no problem tfc servers constant pinging 17-30 no loss
Aye I'm on NTL and lag was terrible last night, totally unplayable, but I'm still downloading at 70k/sec so I assumed it was GOA's problem coz I've had it a few times before and the next day it's fixed. *shrugs*
