Looks absolute gash if you ask me. 4Gb really isn't that much at all - I've got just under half that in my W900i and I need loads more space, like an extra 20 gig or so.....Good luck getting 3000 songs on it and all, unless you reduce the quality to sub tape levels. Like I said I have 1.5Gb in my W900i (still the best phone on the market thx) and have managed to fit around 250 on it at decent quality at the absolute max.

Oh yeah and it's a Nokia, so the UI is gonna suck, and it'll probably break down loads.

For some ppl nothing is enough - I use my creative zen with 5 gb hdd in it - and I got like 600 songs in it. Well enough for most I'd say :fluffle:

Since it was first mentioned about 8-9 months ago i always wanted it.

But im getting close to my upgrade date now... Ive relised i dont want it, at all. Its too big, its too heavy and it will probably be a pain in the arse for texting or holding for prolonged periods of time.

Switching my attention over to Sony Ericsson again, maybe the K800 when it comes out, but now i dont want the N91, i'll probably look closer at some other handsets too

I switched from S-E to Nokia after the joystick in the middle of my last SE phones became shit and unusable. I'll probably get a SE again (had my nokia for nearly a year now) soon, the Nokia 6680 I've got is stupidly large.

Is the W900i the swivelly Walkman one? Nice phone. May get that if its available on o2 (cba changing network again).

I had one of them and sent it back, the earpiece quality on calls was shocking. Also all my mates ripped the piss out of me for having a ginger phone :(

Nokia ftw for me. I prefer the menu system on them and my 6230i has been fantastic in every way. I can't imagine I will move away from it for a very long time.

That's the one. It is seriously lush with a Walkman with 500Meg storage, a TV, a 2Mpixel Camera (the video camera on it is awesome - better than VHS quality), a pin-sharp screen (havent seen better on a phone yet), expandable memory and a pretty cool flip mechanism. Think it's still only on Voda, I know Orange are getting it soon, don't know about O2. It has 2 issues I've found, neither of which bother me too much tho.

1) Tis a bit big, although the size doesn't bother me at all. I look on it as "Man Size", my friends have a bit of an issue with it.

2) You can't skip back to the beginning of the track you're listening to in Walkman mode. You have to go back a track then forward one. A massive issue I'm sure you'll agree.

Reckon so. I only knew two people with that phone; both gay :)

Just read the T3 review of the W900 and they're not keen, and as it turns out, o2 probably aren't going to offer it, so I think I might get the Nokia N80, it looks like the best all-rounder of the N-series phones, rather than trying to specialise in music or photography (I've got an iPod and a very nice CyberShot camera anyway). An SE phone would have been nice as I have a lot of kit that uses Memory Sticks, but apart from the W900 I'm not that enthused about the rest of the SE range at the moment.

The N80 is the only phone that will tempt me tbh.

Just read that T3 review, can't say I agree with it at all. It's smaller than a packet of fags and the extra size means it's been put together properly unlike most of these minature ones these days (K750i and your stupid joystick I'm looking in your direction here....). If the W900i is too big you really need to be looking at a bigger handbag you big girl. The menus really aren't slow enough to be annoying, and they're that well designed any time you lose waiting for the menus you gain again by cutting out all the pointless button pressing (Nokia take note). And as for it being matched by the W800i? Puhlease, that's a K750i with a Walkman cover on it and exactly the same issues. The music from it also sounds great - as long as you ditch the headphones they give you. With a pair of Sony in ear ones it sounds fine - far better than my PSP can manage anyway. There's maybe a bit too much bass at times but there's also an equaliser to get it sounding how you want.

Please Bodhi, Nokia UI is the best.

The n91 is huge. Anyone expecting an ipod sized phone is in for a shock. The n80 is absolute class, small, lovely styling and does everything.

The n91 is good, but the sound quality on the n80 is just as good, and it isn't the size of two bricks stuck together.

Oh and these are opinions I have formed after using both phones.

The n80 comes in an all black as well as the black/silver. All black is much sexier.

Thoughts on the N93? 3.2MP Camera and Intergrated Wireless LAN? A friend is thinking about getting either the N93 or the N90. Upgrading from whichever Nokia it was which had the same twisty-flip shape thingy before.

Personally think the N91 looks a bit ugleh tbh.

The n80 is out. o2 and Vodafone have it, and you can buy it offline from most e-tailers and independent phone shops. Same with the n91.

N91 should be near the end of May/Beginning of June... although no one has asked for it

Your a sony fanboi on all levels and your opinion does not count.. Nokia UI sucks? haha biggest load of BS ive heard today ive had pretty much every brand and Nokia wins hands down because of a simple yet deep interface which suits everyone. SE phones is like trying to find something in a dictionary which doesn't list words in alphabetical order.

1.5 gig? 4gig is abit different.. you will get a huge amount of songs on the phone at max quality.

Never had any problem with a Nokia phone and ive owned around 6 of them so far they are easy to use and have the deep features people expect from a mobile phone these days.

W900i? is that the phone that turns around? looks fucking minging tbh and the orange/white doesn't sell it to me either.

Tbh thats not true either. SEs have great interfaces, atleast the ones i've used have. Not entirely sure what you mean by "Deep Interface".

Was using a newish Nokia recently which actually had a rather similar interface to my W800I - I forget the model.

If you really need a camera phone that does video, then the N93 looks good. I don't, so it looks bit bulky and a waste for me. I agree the N91 looks ugly. If I was going to get a harddisk music phone, I think I'd wait for the SE W950 (due Aug), or the inevitable iPod phone (which won't be the ROKR apparently), but I think all these hard disk phones, video camera phones etc are a bit compromised as phones.

Don't know if the operators will be doing the all black version, but ask for it if it's available.

There is also an all black 8800 available now, teh sexy.

My n80 is here, literally just openbed the box and i have to say im impressed. You get loads of stuff with it. The main thing is that you get lots of converters so that older cables etc will still work on the phone.

Anyway, will report back in a bit

Orange

By chance i checked the website on Tuesday and you could buy the n80 ona new contract and so i called and asked when it was available for upgrade and the lady said it had just been put ont he upgrade section that afternoon so i ordered.

I guess it is similar to the n70 but its a larger jump from the 6680 which is what i currently have. Much nicer looking etc.

Just waiting for SIM to register. Do i have t keep my phone off? i cant remember.

P.S. it doesnt look like Orange pissed about with the software this time and you get normal Nokia OS. Huzzah \o/

Aye that 6680 was begging for an upgrade.. the N80 does look very very slick though mate :) hows the camera slide thingy at the back? because it kinda annoys me on the N70 it slides down when you put it in your pocket :)

N80 looks very nice though i must say i would also get it in black as ive seen the silver and it just looks standard, black sets it apart though :)
