Hey all, am thinking about buying a Nokia 7120 (offline).

It comes with the camera attachment and the person is asking for £30.

Is this a good deal basically?

If it's being offered that cheap, sounds like it's nicked. In which case, the network can block the phone and you can get done for receipt of stolen goods.

Will I be able to fit my old sim card - pay monthly from o2 in an Ericsson T65 into the Nokia or will I have to get a new contract?

Person got it for free - unwanted BD gift and is now leaving uni and country.

No network - like I said- it's offline.

Hee hee.

Oh well.

I also know someone else here at uni who can un-bar phones for £10.

Just I always wanted a colour screen - am so bored of having dull colours and slow txts with my Ericsson.

It's either nicked or the person selling it needs their head examining, a brand new offline 7210 costs about £300-350

Oh well.

I tried to haggle with him down to £25.

I hope he gets back in touch! :D

Oh well.

I was out bid.

Someone offered £35.

:(

I think he's a bit dim.

But then he's ridiculously rich too.

I think the 7250 would be worth waiting for.

Its like the 7210 but has the camera built in...

You can't unbar phones, you can unlock them. That's something completely different.

Something worth bearing in mind: networks don't share bar lists. So if a phone is nicked and reported stolen on orange, it'd work fine on O2. (Assuming the phone is unlocked)

p.s. was this on e-bay? If so, there is fuck all credibility in the fact that he "didn't want it, and he's off out of the country". What a crock of shit. I wouldn't even say the phone is nicked, I'd say it's non existant.

7210, it's a model number for a nokia phone. Worked ok a while ago, but now there's a fuckload of phones and it's just getting silly.

Whilst we have another thread open for mobile phones, does anyone have an old 5110 or 6110 era phone lying around with a working battery?

I only use my phone once every few weeks or so, so I'm still using my venerable 6110, but the battery is b0rked, and I really can't be arsed to buy a whole new spangly phone.

Come on guys everyone had a 5110 once, there must be a few redundant batteries lying around somewhere :D

I had one but not been used for a few years so the battery is completely wasted.

Sorry
