Jeesus. You drink some shit.

Magners manufactured shite, followed by Stella "brewed under licence by Whitbread somewhere near London" wife beater wank...

Drink real ale. And real cider.

And real Perry, if you want a "pear cider" - not that shite they pass off for it.

I'd go /oldman ON, but it's actually /tastebuds ON :)

Snob. "Real" cider is hugely variable, even from one pull from the keg to the next. Can't be doing with that shit, so "processed" cider will do me just fine thanks. I personally love Jacques fruit cider but unfortunately you can't get it over here so I have to make do with Bulmers Berry (the Pear stuff has an unfortunate laxative side-effect!).

And real ale is for wierdos with too much nasal hair. Drinking that stuff isn't enjoyment, its penance.

Tried the stella stuff last week. Wasn't overly impressed, reminded me a lot of Magner's which I'm not a bit fan of.

For me, Aspell's make the best cider I've found in supermarkets.

I know at least one of our local supermarkets stocks Jaques, I think it is Sainsbury's :)

I've been a cider drinker most of my adult life, but the best cider I ever had was in a small pub just outside Port Isaac in Cornwall.
It was in a barrel on the back of the bar with H.S.R.F. branded on it.
The local nickname was "High Speed Rocket Fuel", but it was just the initials of the manufacturer. :)

The night kind of went fuzzy after a few pints of that. :)

Bring back Sirrus. I really liked that one, as long as it didn't have ice put in it.

No Sainsbury's in Ireland :( (Oh how I wish, Irish supermarkets suck donkey balls apart from, weirdly, the bread sections which are a million times better than any of the UK supermarkets), unless I go up north.

Yes but I just love the fact you can get a chicken/cheese and garlic mayo deli sandwich in garages!!!!

Home - Addlestones Premium Cloudy Cider

Although it's still not a 'proper' cider.

(not that I can afford or find nice stuff like this often. it's still possible to drink generic 5% alcohol + water + flavourings stuff like strongbow you know.)

Aspall :D Found it at The Cluny in Newcastle years ago, which is known for its decent selection of ales etc, you can imagine my excitement when I seen Asda stocking it :p Been delivering loads of that Stella Cider lately, asked everyone what it's like, no one knows, all first timers aswell.
