And Obama was surprised when he got it and questioned whether he even deserved it. He said he saw it as a call to action rather than recognition of things he'd already done, whereas if Mango Unchained won it he'd probably say "job done, back to indiscriminately murdering foreign nationals in the Caribbean".

Trump can either double down and focus on actually ending as many conflicts as he can to put himself in the frame for the award next year or he can go on a massive sulk...
I think we know which direction that will go ...

There is nothing in this ceasefire that couldn't of been done many months ago.

We didn't want it done many months ago. We wanted Israel in the centre of gaza on their indescriminate killing spree.

That's why the UK gave them so many weapons.

Anyone watching the events?

So far 7 hostages released by Hamas, not sure about Palestinian numbers yet, news is being vague. The Orange one milking it for all he is worth.

I've read the odd news story, not really watching events though.

As usual, the tangerine dunce claims nothing like this has happened before.

What annoys me is our reporting on this - across all of our media.

Hamas took hostages, yet Israel takes hostages too. After the october attack Israel went and rounded up thousands and has held them without charge.

But we don't report on them as being hostages.

The narrative is still horribly unequal.

Gets better, now dead bodies have more value than living Palestinians.

Problem is that it's gg, Trump has said there's peace so all the people swayed by the actions of Israel during the 'war' will go back to their fence sitting/Israel leaning posture again. The concentration camp will continue until there's another obvious violent response to making people live in a concentration camp. Rinse repeat.

Either need to make a Palestinian state where it's borders are respected and backed by the international community.

Or crack on with complete genocide. (mainly the moving people type.)

The middle ground is sad.

Meanwhile @Gwadien, European countries (and the UK) are stripping our rights at unprecedented rates because we want to protest atrocity.

It's cross party. But since Gaza, it's massively accelerated.

Facism here we come. Are?
