Well I would marry the unmentionable one, I do think he's great. Yes,I know everyone on here hates him.

I like him too - I think that's how he really is, and he doesn't really act, he's just himself, and his antics are funny - You've all got harsh opinions of him, so I won't reply to hate mail.

Well I watched it, despite the presence of the loathsome, unmentionable one. Was okay:

Talking to the baby was a little obvious but worked well and saved the episode for me. Cyber mouse was shit and aimed at five year olds. I don't like the sonic screwdriver anyway but shooting lazers from it? Really??!

Generally limp but some good bits. I liked the running Stormageddon thing.

You can tell stuff like this is pure filler because the only really interesting parts are the coda where you find out the next bit of the bigger plot arc.

My 12 yr old loved it.
My 5 yr old loved it.
Even my 3 yr old watched it.
It's one of the few programs everyone in the family can sit down and watch together.
Yeah, the laser from the sonic screwdriver... dodgy as hell.

Well the master did plenty of it and it's not like the screwdriver hasn't done wibblywobblytimeywimey stuff before ;)

I'm just curious if this doctor, in this episode, was indeed a VERY future doctor and the doctor before this episode(who left rory and amy) was a lot younger.

Probably not though and there's some "twist" to the death.

Interesting to see how it pans out though.

I'm betting that....

The Dr that dies is actually the flesh version that was left alive waaaaay back at the end of episode 5's The Rebel Flesh...

Bets also on the real Dr being inside the Astronaut suit when the time comes?

Also on the fact that we may have been following the flesh Dr the entire series since Rebel Flesh. Pulling the same stunt on the audience that the 2 Dr's pulled on Amy in that same ep...

/rubs chin

Nah, probably River who doew the shooty. Could be a reason she's in maximum space prison. Think they mentioned that somewhere, hmm.

Anyhoo, the thing is, i doubt the doctor can die during the lifespan of River as they've been kissykissy and that hasn't happened yet to the Doctor at the lake. Unless this episodes doctor is the one who has done the kissy kissy(lived for 200 odd + years since amy&rory stuff), but it would make zero sense since this incarnation of the doctor is younger then the last one(look wise) and on her last day on earth, River said "you look so young", which would lead to believe this(or indeed last) doctor isn't the last incarnation.

Make sense? I'd like to think so, but it IS Doctor Who :p

They should've used John Barrowman that plays the 'dr who' in Torchwood. Matt Smith is just bad, but then again maybe the whole Dr. Who show is... Starz( STARZ) need to pick it up, and make it good like they did with Torchwood when they produced season 4!

Soooo...unnecessarily long with no real reason for half of the episodes? :D

You can't just up and change main charaters around, like harkness for the Doctor, but you could kill off smith. Which i, while i'm already used to him as the doctor and he does a fine job, would be fine with.

Is this post meant to be irony?

he got the blue paper and envelopes from the kitchen of craig, the 4 envelopes he sent to the others and himself if you remember, so the doctor we just saw is the old one, cos he sent the letters.......yes?.......no?

Not necessarily, he can still be the blob as Sar said or for that matter the changeable robot

This is what i'm curious about and posted a few posts back. It's illogical as hell if he dies for good, due to previously posted spoiler.

His timeline doesn't get skewed though if he's the same doctor he sent the letter to, as he's progressed to this point over the season, but a death can go only two ways;

reincarnation
no death.

Think you've mis-understood a lot Toht, when I'm less tired I'll elaborate :)

Well the Dr that got the envelope behaved as though it was new to him and a surprise to receive the invite and that he was 1100 years old (our Dr is only 900-ish and we know he's the one that writes the invites at 900yrs old).

We know the flesh versions become "real" and not plastic after being about for a fair while, so give the flesh version 200 years bombing about the place in a makeshift tardis (remember they showed us he could do that this season too!), and a body not built to actually be a Timelord, and you've got a recipe for one dead tired plastic Dr willing to die.

IMO of course, and probably completely wrong :D

They won't, he won't die. They've already done the "river used up all her lives" bit.

I see, oh well its not a bad thing! I enjoy Matt Smith playing the Dr, by far the best one yet of this new Dr Who :) Tennant was greta aswell don't get me wrong but I think Smith is more entertaining.

Yeah they've already got around the 12 regeneration limit by River's sacrifice, so that'll do for another 40+ years of telly ;)

And I enjoy Matt Smith as well. Didn't think I would when they first announced him, but he's turned out to be more of an "odd" Dr, rather than the cool of Tennant or excitability of jug ears.

Am I the only one who thinks Christopher Eccleston is the best Doctor in the series?
