to the players getting (disconnected.genericreason) or something like that. Make sure you are running the 64bit of java.

The fault is in java and not the server. Since it does not refresh the ram it uses(32bit uses max 1Gbit). So running 64bit you should be able to last longer.

This is only a issue for 2 or 3 of the players for now it seems.

I've made a market in southland, where people can start up their shops(if lacking of space. You have to make the market bigger.

Thinking of ways to try improve the server (even tho its fun, i think it could be better)

Some mods ive found - cho, ive no idea if these will work with the FH server, but some ideas nevertheless.

There's other ways of stopping that, making things easy with mods makes the world boring. Already giving people free stuff is a bit meh.

Cant make it too easy Some fun of this game, is to hide your treasure! And trust the other players.

And I only give items to starters, so they can get going. Not like the kit will last long

hmm i guess thats fair enough .. perhaps there should be a rule with allowed greifing then so people have to hide their treasures?

would be fun raiding peoples mines or whereever people hide things to search for their treasure

Well griefing is, technically, legal. You just might get jailed for it if Chosen catches you

Ofcourse depends on how much of a dick you want to potray your character as.

I for example am not outside the realm of setting the shop on fire. Not that i necessarily will, but there's a possibility

Yeah Chosen, that's why i did't take the starter set. Getting diamond gear is one of the few cool goals of the game.

To be fair, there needs to be some form of catching also, not just a big brother instajail.

QQ was about to login and finish my tunnel of doom lol (hollow'd out a mountain and was going to make a spiral cart track going out the bottom of the mountain right upto the top (where I was going to build my house)

Not sure what bukkit mods you are running, but if you install World Edit with admin only permissions, you can protect specific structures and areas from destruction among other things. You can also copy/paste if you need to as well - makes moderating a busy server very easy, if not a little bit dull.

Server is restarted and back up now =) And yeah, using worled edit. But havent started the zone protection yet, as I dont see the need too.

The worlds gets a auto save every once in a while now.

Moved the natural server spawn point a little outside in the water now, using a map editor. That way people can actually build in the market
