The same reason people want to become lvl 50. It's all about having a goal whatever that may be. Once that is reached they might decide to go for example and play alb/mlf, or try a mid caster group.

so its some weird mumbo jumbo reason that half of midgard rolled a savage because they couldnt get groups with their zerker/thane/warrior/rm/sm anymore?

You think its all just coincidence that "non-essential/non-det classes" are falling dead last on rp/week table? It is JUST because ppl are telling them to FO (or for friends/guildies, bring savage plz, or bring healer or whatever, when they ask if there is room for their "unwanted" class)

going to amg, meeting the 4fg albs camping it, albs start to kill the tanks, and the nice smgroup behind lurks in and pbae.

still 2fg is of teh s00k, but quite necessary in these times.
get moc and that thing that resets your qctimer, can be quite handy.

And it's possible to beat a mid savage grp... just need 1) Good players 2) RR5+ minimal and 3) Perfect group setup

the ASD should get nerfed yes... savages shouldn't quad as much... and the "requirements" will go down a bit :>

ok, one of my best irl friends is in my guild, he plays a runemaster, i would never, ever, even consider telling him he cannot group with me due to his class.

however, he did infact roll a savage, not because i wanted him to, or because they're fotm but because of the speed casters die in rvr, he got tired of it. Just like i did when i rerolled my RM as a Healer.

its a fact savage groups have ruined RvR on excalibur, i dont give a shit whose fault it is.

albs zerg and i dont blame em, hibs mostly just stay home farming for 1.65...

Im gonna make a group tomorrow without any savage. I'll post on BW if anyone beats us. I'll use gimped soruzi and zzang instead. :O

pure melee, but will take another 2 weeks for lvl 50 and rr1 :O but there's different good hib setups, both for mage grp and tank group

To beat us you need:
in Alb: Very good leader and quick mezzer sorc.
2 Thrust Merc's with uber assist
Theurg who quickly puts pets on seers and buffs merc's with haste/dmg add.
V good defensive pala slammer/guarder/intercepter
2 good clerics
Mincer who at first assists the merc's , then moves to stun/dd and interrupt as many seers as possible. The single cast mezz lasts longer than any other mezz also fyi.

In hib:
2 bards
1 luri s/s hero defensive guarding teh druids.
3 Stormriderx's who assist kills healers quickleeeh
2 druids

can replace 1 bard with warden..

or:

2 chanters (insta interrupts and debuffs > 2 mana elds)
1 mana eld
s/s hero for guard/slam
Bard
2 druids
Void eld for energy debuff... its insta kill.
We used this setup on Prydwen and the best alb group there had no chance... and mid groups were easy aswell. Im positive this group could kill our mid group alot mroe than any other grp on excal can atm.

Also all players must be good and the rr5+

got that hib setup you said, with warden, exactly (all the abilities warden got > a redundant end song)

time will tell :) well be fun even if we lose tbh :)

it's easy mode because if 2 equally good teams from hib and mid meet, mid will win, unless they fuckup royally...
