That case reminds me of the Lian-Li PC-B16 - I do like the minimalist fronts on them.

yeah I've had Lian-Li in the past, as wel as Antec, Coolermaster and a shit-tonne of generic no-name cases. my current workstation case is a hella-OTT Corsair Carbide 540, and the server is now ofc the Fractal Designs. Tbh I'd say that pound for pound the FD makes better use of it's space compared to the Corsair...but ofc efficiency is not the reason I have the 540 :D

I bought my first Lian-Li back in the Summer (might not have been Summer) of '01 (might've been '02). A PC-70 as I recall, a lovely big silver full tower. I havent bought another brand since, I just love the uncomplicated designs, the superb workmanship, all of the tool-less stuff. They're a joy to work on (apart from when you have to remove/add motherboard pegs, they're motherfuckers ).

I currently have the PC-7FNW for my "god box" (as you would say), with the silly fan with blue LEDs on it switched out for a BeQuiet. Then a PC-A04B for HTPC and a PC-D8000 for server.

I might have to disconnect my internet tonight because the wife is away and I might just end up buying that Fractal Designs 'Define R4' case when I get back from the pub.

Pop on here once you're done then, if you've had enough I might be able to convince you to mail it to me.

Agreed, I built the last office PC at my old job in one of these because I didn't want to hear the fan noise all day. Very good case but plastic for my personal tastes.

yeah the front panel of mine wasn't actually matte alu but shiny black plexi (protected in the box by one of those sticky sheets, like phones have and such. that could annoy people, I agree.

It's a great case though, it was on my new build until the nzxt one caught my eye. The one I built at oldwork(tm) was completely silent.

I am actually considering trying my hand at building my own case. I have all the tools at work to do it and I am quite pally with a ali/steel fabricator through work. A mate of mine is a CAD designer too, he owes me a favour as I gave him one of my old PCs.

That would be cool to customize it how you like you would just need to make sure you took all the cooling ect into consideration.

Well I bought one of those bags so ner. Interestingly (or not) I did so from a hotel in Sweden, this sent the CC security into meltdown and they blocked my card. I tried to re-enable it but they asked me such fucking stupid questions (what's your memorable word - no idea, what date did you take out that loan - early this year - no we need the exact month - haven't a fucking clue) so in the end I politely told them to push their card up a dark smelly passage located somewhere between the gluteus maximus.

Total price will be about £300 + vat and import duty, but as its for work and tax deductable, I won't pay anywhere near that.

This is why we only allow certain recognised devices to connect to our routers.

Just picked up 2 of these for my parents ( I use my gopros ).

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JJI40KU/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It does 1296p @30fps, 140 degree fov, really nice recording quality+ works well in low light.

So this just arrived. There are a ton of cool options ( motion sensor, g sensor ), etc.

Took it for a test run and the vid quality is good, matching the videos I linked earlier.

The GPS logger is great, shows you the video footage, overlapped with a traced route on google earth, along current position/speed. ( usual gps gubbins there ).

I'm really really impressed.

Insurance companies have started offering discounts ( swift cover 10% - no idea if they're any good ) for people with dashcams, and for £65 ( £10 for a microsd card on top ), it'll pay for itself.

I really fancy something like this @ECA but they seem to give a few bad reviews on Amazon so keep us updated because it is a bargain price.

After seeing ECA's vid, and an altercation with a fucknut on the motorway recently, I will definitely be buying one of these.

Hah, agreed.

I would only be posting videos of myself saying 'cunt' a lot or singing to Rihanna.

One nice thing is that the mic on it is actually pretty good. The gopro mic by comparison is shit, and because even w/ the skeleton housing there is plastic covering the mic it isn't ever "good".

With the one I linked, you could very clearly hear 2 people having a conversation, so yes it would record all your swearing and singing nicely :p

Relevant UK laws - the screen can't be on and seen by the driver - no problem as it automatically switches the screen off.

It can't intrude more than 4cm into the windscreen wiper area, or more than 1 cm if its in the area in front of the driver. So you need to mount it somewhere sensible.

Yeah like the twat's who have their sat nav's slap bang in the middle of their windscreen, you know, so the wife can see it as well. Why the hell are those people not stopped and fined? My rage-o-meter goes through the roof when I see them actually fiddling with it as their passenger sits and watches. I think I am not long for this job.
