Need Broadband

I have a 56k modem and am quite happy with the pings I get, but I am not happy with the transfer rates, What Satellite providers are out there and which gives the best speed, I'm looking for around 50kb/sec dl rates at least.

If your happy with modem pings, your either very lucky, very mad, and in all probability not playing Q3..

This is the wrong place to ask really. Satillite is unsuitable for gaming (its got high downstream bandwidth but quite bad latency), so few here will have it.

I know a few people who have Satellite based, it is download only, they download at about teh same rate as a 56k modem (ie about 3KBps ish) however they can have about 10ish of these downloads going at one time. They also offer a book in advance download service, you supply the link and they schedule a download a few hours later at about 30/40 KBps. However, as has already been mentioned, it is a latency filled service, so is not in any way suitable for gaming
