is it just websites mobius? does it just get stuck at "resolving whatever.com" ?

if it is, change your dns servers in the TCP/IP properties of your connection. it used to do that with me, seems the BY DNS servers get unplugged every now and then so that the cleaning lady can plug in the hoover.

heh. there is actually a funny story behind the hoovering quote, that it did actually happen at a small ISP in Liverpool a friend used to use, one of their DNS servers used to go down on a regular basis, they finally figured it out to be one of the cleaning staff using the socket for the hoover. heh.
