Necromancers in RvR?

Hi, are there any level 50 necros out there who have tested Necros in RvR yet? I was thinking of making one, but i wanted to know if they were any good in RvR? Any RvR experience you have had as a Necro would be appreciated

Necros are nice IF

You want to be target who everyone goes
You want to get /rude and /laught spam from anyone see you
You want to be nerfed to heck and over it
You want to to solo on RvR alot and still not be good on it
You want to get Whineposts how you abused Los
You want to be one of the most hated alb classes
You want to everyone think you are a twat because you play necromancer

u forgot that all stealther will kill you on sight in rvr or if seeing you pve

there are very few people i will suicidally p.a, mostly these being laugh spammers who have offended a guild mate, but necro's are on my, piss them off every time i see em list

Jeez thats a very large & heavy chip you are carrying around
upon your obviously very wise shoulders..

To call or think someone is a Twat because they choose to play
Necro, is not only offensive but its goes to show the kind of character you really are!.

I chose a necro so i could get to lv50 in a much shorter period of
time, since only returning to Daoc 1 month ago.

Hopefully LOS will be fixed before i ding 50, so i can be treated with as much respect as any other player

In answer to you question Necro's are great fun in RvR but at this point in time very buggy :wall:

Have had a fair few solo encounters of which I've come out smelling of roses But Avoid Zerkers want to talk ownage fight one every other class is fair game with SB's and NS's being a very hard fight but possible.

The biggest problem in RvR is the LoS issue having been on a keep retake even when not tryin to abuse you find you have
which is why for now I play my other toons on keep attacks/defence and necro for wandering around home frontiers for that rare solo encounter.

Thier is a great report from Necro TL on Catacombes that explains more indepth on problems and fixes we really need.

At the very least take a necro to 24 and go to thid test out your rvr skills thier as not much will change in large scale and it only takes a couple of days to be thier, whilst your thier even try out the LoS bug and see why people complain and then work out why the victory seemed hollow :uhoh:

They are not good, tbh a x-bow / shield specced armsman will be better.

Necros are Slow reacting, slow moveing blue con casters, loaded with bugs to effectivly make em even more crap, you are not affected by BoF or SoS, it's a hell to heal you and you cannot get better melee resists, you cannot cast as fast as other casters cuz dex do not affect you as much, neither does con and +hp do you any good.

Where actually i did say Every Necro *is* twat? Atleast i posted *Think* what has bit difference than saying they are IMO

Necros are brilliant for the following:
If you solo a lot.
If you want to get a char to lvl50 very quickly.
Powerlevelling alts or low lvl guildies.
Farming cash.
Supporting casters in PvE groups and some RvR groups.

Necros are not so good at:
Solo RvR, as you get killed so quickly.
Group RvR where you are not protected by other grp members.
Navigating dungeons/keeps due to bugs.
Killing very high lvl mobs like Epic mobs due to high resists.

Just my opinions. From what I can understand, it is quite common to start a Necro and lvl it to 50 within a few days. Then you use the Necro to powerlvl your alts and you can get an alt to 50 in 2/3 days /played. So, basically, you can use them as a quick way of churning out new lvl50 characters. Supposedly faster than creating a new character and taking them from 1 to 50.

Lvl43 Necro (with not much RvR experience).

To summarise -

RvR: Necros are crap. They only had LoS going for them. Soon they will be doomed to PvE.

Oh, and Xorta left out that your pet gets mezzed for full length, regardless of resists, and dies in 2 nukes to an enchanter after stun/debuff.

I think you will find many classes die after stun/debuff, so not quite seeing your point there ^^ And as for necros being doomed to PvE, next patch i'll introduce you to mr Death Servant spec.

at the moment, necros are crap in rvr.

they are only good in keep defence due to the LoS bug thats getting fixed.

all a necro is outside of a keep is a blue/green con caster who dies faster then a mailman in a dog pound.

the spells look nice on paper, but the pet is a tad slow to cast em.

well, thats how i see em
