Most skilled enemy

I remember long time ago when the names Blood and Death were feared in the frontier. Those two teaming were awesome. I seen Death in action many times with my old (deleted) armsman. I even tried to backstab him when my infiltrator was very young (about lv 24). He bowed after he killed me :) Shame I never face Death in a proper combat, seems he stopped playing.

Anyway I think there are many names to mention but to me Death is the most skilled enemy ever.

Do not try to find the daoc player with the most skill. That is impossible. Instead, only try to realise the truth... there is no skill. :)

I think the number of times i teamed up with Death can be counted on 1 hand, he was a bit of an odd fella, when we in Shadows asked him why he never spoke in guildchat, he replied that he didnt liked chatting.

hehe, i remember being messaged from a level 3 once, that he was an alb that deleted and went to midgard, and he just wanted to say hi to the most feared enemy. He said that they often heard "[AS] xRandomx: Blood is in emain, need backup"

btw. Blood dinged RR7 2 days ago

Skill is also, breaking away from the norm and getting good results,by trying something different, and imho no one done it better than Narve.

The inventor of excal road camping, and bringer of sooooo much fun and excitement,as soon as the Narve death spam started, everyone would want him,to get the kill over the illusive SB brought so much pleasure,to so many albs, bringing an almost status symbol response if you were lucky enough to get the Narve was just killed by......., the pm`s would flood in, w00t,gratz.

Peeps would leave xp groups, emain etc as soon as the Narve has spawned again hysteria swept through the albion grapevine,
such was his reputation.

All this from just one man,Narve I salute you,a very skilful and honourable player, and one who brought the fun of rvr to our backdoor,as the news of his success encouraged many of his comrades to follow in his footsteps;).

I dont fear anyone.. never have really.. the real question is who in your view is a greatly skilled player in rvr?.. A few months back I would have said Gm (the OLD +REAL Niar) but now theres some newb playing him, so from each realm I'd chose.. Walker from alb, as he's the main organiser of the sotl and loe zerges that are pretty good to fight with, and I apriciate the victimisation he shows my chars :p, Midgard.. I'd chose ..Spoon right now, a healer in my guild, and one that has the best healing I've seen so far in rvr, and in hib I'd say Bfr, cos the overpowered bast always lands Anhilation from the front :p.

I really wonder why all have that great respect for the old stealthers. Stealthers who one shotted most things. Whats the skill in that? Only stealther who was good back then and still is, is azal. People like Death who quit the game when he couldnt one shot all has no respect at all. And people say he played good. I think he attacked my smite cleric like 20 times and got owned every single time. That is not my definition of skill. The one i would award most skilled player would be a skilled healer. Noone really comes to mind though but its that kind of class that requires the most skill.

Tried the PvP server for a week or 2 and I thought this was real funny. A little grey thing came up to me and said hi Oz its me Blood can I have a buff please. I buffed him and thought to myself that guy must of killed me 100 times a year ago and I just buffed him and said seeya mate.

I understand what you said Hadess but I disagree with some points. I don’t know the reasons why Death quit the game I didn’t speak to him. I remember once a full group from Albion (most lv 50s) were camping MPK. Only Blood and Death were around and they were teasing, dividing and killing the Albions one by one. When I’m talking about skill I’m not talking about to go buffed to the teeth and kill a lonely prey that had no chance against you… or to press F8 /stick and push your styles. When I was asking about the most skilled enemy, I was asking about players that know how to play well their characters and also have that something that make them different from the rest: creative players. The times I seen Death in action he was unexpected; he knew when to act and what to do fast and clean.

Btw. Well done on RR7 Blood :)

I don't think Death left because he stopped being able to one shot, I think he left because Mythic killed the game with True Sight and See Hidden, I remember when I had True Sight still I popped it at AMG and saw death, fired an arrow and the poor sod sat down and took it, because the fact is there was nothing else he could do. I felt guilty making that kill doing it through True Sight, a few days later, I dumped it. Many people have said it, RAs ruined the game.

Death stopped playing active before RAs came, he played abit after they came in game, but nothing serious.
I think he stopped playing because of his US chars, them being loads of patches behind back then.

And for smiteclerics killing SBs....you are nerfed as you should be now, before you were overpowered really. And atleast he made a jump at you.

Most skilled imo would prolly be the old teador, the fire wizard.
Back when he was an alb a typical emain _zerg_ consisted of 1fg, and if albs had teador they could usually plow down any numbers of mids.
Later though he insisted on joining hib and becomming insta-win enchanter woohooo

Why should smite cleric be nerfed? Because they did 300ish dmg(if you have normal resists) with 4 sec casting time.
