Are you seriously saying that you will claim ALL the scrolls dropped on an ML8 raid? I know there's a school of thought that believes raid leaders should claim what they want (mainly an Excalibur habit, I'm afaid) but I would point out that decent ones don't claim anything. Add this to the fact that your ML time cuts right across three well-established weekly FFA arti raids - as have other MLs run by Excalibur players - and I've only got contempt for your complete disregard of others.
And don't give me any shine about running the raid 'for people who need it' : your ott claims speak loudly to that point.

Dear Mercury.

If u dont like it, dont join, if u need scrolls go farm em, and u cant be serious about cutting through FFA raids on a weekly bases...

Those FFA raids are there every week (allmost 1 every day) so ur telling me that no1 should run ml's when any FFA raids are planned :eek7:

Any scroll drops are for guild funds or guildies in need of the scrolls.

1. I don't like it, no 'if' about it. I would never join any sort of raid where those in a position to do so remove major items from the lotto. Frankly it stinks. If I thought it would be taken note of, I'd suggest decent players boycott any raids where these practices are going on.

2. Need scrolls? I've farmed more scrolls than you've done dubious raids, mate. If YOU need scrolls, go look on my cm - lowest prices on the cluster. It saves you looking like a scoundrel when you get em legit.

3. I most certainly am serious about the way you, and those like you, cut into established raids.
FYI : FFA modded raids, which have been a feature of the Prydwen scene for months, if not years, are not every day. Their times are well publicised on FH. Even if they were on a daily basis, they generally don't take long. For example : nothing organised happens on Thursday nights, nor Mondays after about 6pmgmt or on Saturdays after 3pmgmt etc etc.

4. If your thrash is a guild event with important items reserved for the benefit of guildies, fine as far as it goes. But advertise it as such. Anything else is dishonest.

Well i'm not gonna spend more time discussing with u Mr. Mercury.

I've replied to ur post w/o being rude, and told u the truth, still u insist on calling me a "greedy git" a "Scoundrel", a "lamer" and a "rogue raid leader"

DAoM will run this raid regardless of any FFA.

I surely hope Ard doenst pop by and call for a relic raid that might interfere with any FFA, cuz maybe Mr. Mercury and his like, who apparently still see this cluster as a "them and us" situation, would boycott Ardamel aswell :)

Have a nice day.

1. Miss, fyi
2. I have not called you any of those things. I sign alot of my posts with the \/ logo + whatever seems relevant to the post, not the person. Doesn't necessarily mean it applies to you. If your claimed scrolls are going to your Guild, it's hardly greedy on your part, now is it? Strangely enough, that fact has sunk in.
3. Ofc this raid will go ahead regardless - that's the whole point of the complaint. It's the 'regardless' bit I object to - there's no need for it.
4. Tx, I will.

I do see it as a 'them' and 'us' situation, but not split on a server basis. There are lots of perfectly decent players from the Excal section who regularly attend our raids, and there are more than a handful of Prydwenites I would not spend time with. IMO it's not where you play it's how.

Dunno or care who Ardamel is. Not attending a raid is NOT the same as boycotting it.

I'm sorry about the mr. part miss Mercury :)

Well ur right i should have stated in the thread that it is not "my" raid but a DAom raid, only our 3rd ml, and TBH when told to post this thread i didnt give our raid rules much of a thought, just copy/paste'd 'em.

We all got different time schedules, this is in no way planned to be an annoyance for any FFA raid leader, i join those raids when i can and enjoy 'em (specially bluesky's), but DAoM and friends had a rather busy week with ml's and presteps and this saturday was the only time suited for ml8 as we all got alts we want to bring for the ml9 sunday.

Aye, oki. These things happen I suppose. If you've been on any of Blue's raids we have played together on those occasions, since I attend 'em all ( those that I can.)

Hmmm pretty strange to complain bout a ml raid is at the same time as arti raids.

Most of the mid population don't need those raids or allrdy have the arti's, this wast majority of the population should not hold ml raids while there are planned arti raids :eek7:

I do applaud these arti raids. Bluesky is doing an outstanding job.

Count my rm in fizzle, then perhaps after 2 years of trying I'll finally get my brittleguards, tho I'll never get mythic to admit that ToA :puke: was a major mistake on their part.

Runandgi gimped darkcarver reporting for raid rdy to whine :(

I was going to start this post " Strange? STRANGE? I'll give you strange you stupid p*****k..." but thought the better of it and would simply point out that I am not in the game of lying down quietly when my Friday evening and Saturday lunchtime entertainment is ruined by just one person (not Angrist btw) and that all Bluesky's work for both events is wasted. Bah!
ofc ml raids are needed - but WHY cutting across well-publicised and public established events thus forcing people to choose and ruining the less popular? ferkriseake I need MLs on three toons meself but I'll be buggered if I'm joining something I think is ill-timed to say the least.

And as for 'arti raids' - there won't be many more if we only get a BG of 10 for Erinys. So thanks to one particular ignorant Raid Hog a whole aspect of the game may have to be withdrawn just because of his personal needs. :eek6:

If you think it strange to complain about this, then oki - I'm weird. :p

Thx all for comming, tbh i was quite nervous for the outcome as this was my first raid as leader, it went far better than i had dared to hope for, big thx to Snakecharmer and Septima for helping me through.

I'm pretty sure DAoM will host more ML's in the future :)

Thanks all to joining and to make the raid went so smooth.

Mercury if you have personal problems with someone use /pm instead of this thread.
If you want to discuss what should be or not lottoed in a ML raid (in your opinion..) make a new thread.
Don't see the point to come in this informative thread and flame away.

Whatever i do aplogize to bluesky to have set this hour (was my call) and i totally forgotted about his raids on saturday. But, as i told him, it was the only hour possible today.

Cheers and c you all on battlefields :)

/ps: no valuable scrolls, or whatever, dropped on the 3 raids we run that was not lottoed.

When I require your advice as to what/where to post on FH I shall ask for it. And fyi there was no flaming of anybody - the person responsible for all this was never mentioned by name, nor insulted in any way. I have no 'personal problems' to air, neither is claiming on raids an opinion held only by me.
Get your facts straight and perhaps we shall get somewhere.

Stop QQing mercury this thread is dead, and i dont see anyone backing you up on your opinion, remember folks STILL had the option to do the arti raids.

he he. If you thought it 'dead' why you post over 2h after me? Or did you just want to get your 2 cents worth in, using terms like QQ as if you knew what they meant...Muppet.

I'd love to be able to lay an accumulator bet:

a. Your origins are on Excal
b. Until today you needed ML8 BG steps
c. You wouldn't know what to do with Erinys Charm, even if someone stuck it up your nose.
d. You've never heard of Belxavier.

After reading this all...

Yes, there are weekly planned raids.

There is BoZ, Erinis, Jacina, Dragonraid ect...

99% of the time i dont barge in with my raids in those hours, hence thats why i picked Thursday night to host my ML Raids. By now every1 expects a thursday ml raid from me since its always like this. Since no1 Planned anything special the sunday nights i also posted that ill host ml raids (only for 4 weeks) on those days. Imo its ure own choice when and wher eu host ure raid. Ofcourse myself find it a bit disrespectfull to Crosshost Raids. There are always ppl missing ppl then. But in the end its ure choice.

About the claiming, again thats all ure own choice, if u state dbefore raid what ure rules are and ppl join them then ppl dont have to complaign about them, so imo merc ure wrong on this subject. Its a well known fact that i dont claim items on my normal ML raids. But ive made new rules where i give myself a +mod. But like i said its ure own choice :).

Greets Vav.
