Just came from Raumarik... no more ww at RR place, seem strange, may be some item-hunt group but unlikely, came there 2 times today... so its possible now to talk to Samedi... it refused to talk to lvl 50 kobold rm, I am 50 norsman thane she told me smth like "Norsman, dont break my consentration or u suffer my wrath and spirits will chase you"... maybe troll or dwarf can try to talk...

Hmm, "spirits will chase you" maybe its a spiritmaster she/he is looking for.
Also checked the new info on daoc-home where it says something about an army being gathered, and I was recently at the boneeater barracks where I saw a boneeater War leader i think he was called.
He was standing on a line with some boneeaters spinerippers etc. My first time there so i dont know if he is supposed to be there or new.

Well, the other night I had a run from Raumarik and ran into Grimask walking around in w.svealand (took some route around the hill with some blodfelag buildings on it (not the fort)) He killed sort of everything that came in range. As it was I happened to be having a Thane in the group who talked with Grimask and he told us to follow him. So we walked around with him for one full circle, but nothing ever happened and he din't say anything else. As I can't talk with him myself (being a skald) I have no real idea as to what he actually said tho...

I went to Vendo, found 1 Gershan Warrior deep inside, alone. Agrod me from quite far away, killed it and walked round some more, but didnt find anything else out of place.

ONe of hte huts in Hugin had a healer who said she got too much work cause of recent attacks+teh official doac site said that grimask is now dead.

The cold. It's everywhere, it's everything. Piercing, tearing apart, chilling to the bone. Shivering and moaning, they make their way into spiraling clouds of poisoned icy crystals. So much suffering, they don't know anymore, no, they don't know they are dead, that they've been since a long time now. Only pain remains, slow, implacable torpor devouring all life, feeding on the last shreds of their thoughts. They roam the icy fathomless abysses, for even the deluding alleviation of coming to rest is nothing compared to the compelling force of the call.

They drag their bony, emaciated bodies, every move, every effort awakening old and new wounds, stirring up their hatred and sadness. But the call is stronger, the chant breaks their last will. They obey and move along, swarming army of poor spectral creatures, leaving strange and disturbing tracks behind them, in the freshly trampled ice.

In the distance, the call gets clearer.

"… we say come and serve us, for we have been chosen by Hel…"

Helpful info or what? A bunch of ghosts in the snow n ice....well thats 90% of our frontier.

Can anyone see any sense in this, or are they just telling a story now, cause I saw no rection to the last lot of gobbledegook they put up.

For that fact, is anyone interested now? Seems that most ppl are now bored with this. GOA, give us something to play with ffs, and some kind of goal / prize to get.

Campain threads?

Encountered a group of roaming zombies (5-6 red to a lev 43) a abit north of Grallarhorn in Yggdra 2-3 weeks ago. They appeared from nowhere and killed me like nothing. One of them were named, don´t rem. the name though. Are these any known mobs or could they be part of the campain?

Also stumbled into a NPC i haven´t noticed before, close to the water between Fort Atla and Nisses lair. Name was Forkylning, and the msg was something about: looks like he wants to speak, but can´t. Do u guys know this NPC?

Sounds like some of the NPCs we encountered b4 that couldnt speak. Might be worth checking out. Can u remember his race, char type or if he was agro?

The name, Forkylning, is obviously taken from the Swedish word 'förkylning' that means 'cold' (the illness noun, not the adjective). Judging from that fact, it is very likely that this NPC has something to do with the campaign. My guess is that the 'call' these ghosts have to obey is something that the Geershas are behind... but that's just a guess..

Been ages since anything significant has happened, Im now severely bored and dissapointed at Mythics GOAs attempt at a story type campaign.

FFS, if ya gonna do one, dont leave it weeks between giving us thing to do, as that gets rather tedious, and ppl soon get bored.

Also I think you have sent a patch the last few times somethings happened. Aint had any lately, so im assuming any searches we do of the frontiers and snowy parts of the realm will be futile.

Sad attempt at entertaining I must say.

He was some kind of human-type, and i think he had a staff. Not aggro.

Sad to say...

Cannot help but agreeing with whoodoo.... this campaign isn't much at all.

Either this campaign is little more than a few new monsters posted around Midgard and some stories that doesn't make much sense, or the people who had an opportunity to act a part in the campaign hasn't written anything to the rest of us.

I realize that the campaign cannot incorporate somewhat 1000 players, but if anyone has had a chance to partake in it. Please write here so the rest of us can have some enjoyment of it.

So far all I've heard is the the same story... a few new monsters here... an npc is now saying different things (still nothing interesting though)

Anyone have anything substantial?

The great episode with the cartographer makes this campaign pale to nothing. Please more of that, the cartographer story had a plot and some real players acting NPC:s. So far none of that has appeared in the campaign.

Seems they had a very similar scenario with the gershas etc, and thats about it.

Kemor if your listening to this thread, how about getting a GOA rep in here to give some words of encorougment, or perhaps something a tad less cryptic to play with. Unless of course you lot cant be bothered anymore. Show us all sme signs of life eh

I saw an NPC just to the left of fort atla near the river, tried to speak to him but he said he was waiting for a sign from god/the gods. Can't remember the name.

I am a DAOC n00b so don't flame me if he's well known pls it's just i've never seen an NPC there before.

Rognvald is the name, and he waits for a sign from his god Mimir. I tried lots of things to make him react, but got noone. Ahhh... not true i shot him with a bolt from my shammy, and he got aggro and chased me, no big surprize there...
But normally he is neutral and con purp to a lvl25.

Forkylning the spectral figure just near by Rognvald reacts just the same on a bolt, hehe.
Tried to talk to him. He casts a spell now and then, and it sais something about a immense cold surround him.
Hmmm, maybe one should try to make him warm somehow to break the coldspell.
I tried to cast cure disease and cure poison and other shammyspells on him, but it didn't work.

In the stranger-campain it sais that we must find a way to make the strangers talk, but how? Please try all words u think have any connection to these strangers, their gods names, old clan-names, cold-warm-words or anything u can think about.
Report all progress here please, so we can help eachother envolve into these campains.

Notable is that the Albs got some of the silent strangers to speak, but only sorcerer class could do it.
Maybe same in Mid, we should get all classes to try it.

When talking to her she sais she's tired.
And it's understandable when u read the thread about the Nightmare. She obviously has some sort of future seeing talent that she inherited from her mother. The blackhaired crazy woman in the dream, can it be Morgana (King Arthurs sister) ? Morgana is often described as a crazy witch.
Tried some words with Svarri, and also some spells, but no reaction.

well, havent read ALL of what this thread says, but here is my thought:

a SM (preferably lvl 50) should try to speak to all of the npc-s other havent gotten to talk.

the stories on the site say shit like 'we have been chosen by Hel' and many npc-s talk bout spirits. so SMs, u r up next

Well, im with fl3a there.

Since another NPC named frusen, think that was the name. (looked the same btw) spoke to a SM, forkylning will probably do the same thing.

However there's a lot of other NPC's spread out over the realm that needs a little chat too, all of them speaks to differnet classes. For example there's two of em in galplen, one who speaks to warriors and one who speaks to shamans. one in the guard tower by audliteen who speaks to SB's and so on.

Ive also spotted a few small geersha armys around the area of W and E swealand (in the mountains by the sonewalls), dont bother killing them, ive already tried and they just respawn after a while. They are probably there waiting for the invasion to start. (Hope it will be soon) And as many of you probably have noticed there are a few of em in vendo cave too.

To GOA: Plz be a little more specific in your clues on the web page, noone really knows what to do atm, should we do something to trigger the next step? Or do we just have to wait for you guys in the "campaign team" to get it started.

Me wanna smash some geershas soon, and loads of em.

Running around in Jordheim just exploring I saw an NPC on the upper floor of the SM/RM trainer house, he said a few things to me and kindda told me to get lost, which I cant blame him, I hadnt had a bath that day
But anyone know if he is old news or?
