Melee in 1.62

It's me or the average melee damage it's decreased aloot ? ( and no I don't mean cause the the quick increase cause no caps,I mean more than normal).
Also the miss rate on supports increased?

I hope I m wrong but look like have more ws than your targets it's not so "vital".


Please tell me I m drunk :D

New weapon in a new sc suit maybe? Could be you have forgotten to enchant it and you are missing more.

Well my wep skill has gone up but so has my miss rate.

A side effect of the fixed block/parry rate is an increased miss/resist rate.
Only the ppl actually attacking a target are counted for the purpose of to hit modifiers, not the afk bastards and healers in your group.

yep, true so when in galla or wherever everyone will have to work together more, though i think healers etc count as in combat if they heal and the group still gets their bonus.

I think I remember reading somewhere on the VN boards that an unpleasant side effect of this block/parry fix, and the grp to hit modifiers made PvE raids nigh on impossible

Regular raids failed miserably with the same numbers due to not being able to hit the mobs as much

unsure if it was fixed straight away or they still putting up with it tho.

I was thinking the same thing about melee damage but just put it down to coincidence.

Fully buffed my weaponskill and hit points have shot through the roof yet my damage seems less. How can you miss twice in a row with over 1850 weaponskill? And I mean pure miss, not just evaded or parried etc. Behind the scenes changes?

spell resists have gone way up too, it's not just melee ;)

luvly to pop moc and have 3 spells resisted in a row!

as danita said its about block/parry fix

before 1.62 -> you hit someone -> your WHOLE group adds to your to-hit percentage

after 1.62 -> you hit someone -> only you and healers healing are counted to the to-hit percentage

not really that big of a problem in rvr except for mages and cc ppl

but it totalle fks up big pve raids

healers are flagged as attackers I think if they are doing thier thing, healing.

think that's a thing they added in so that PvE encounters wasn't x2 as hard or so ;)

I thought it was because of my respec and not having capped ICE yet (41+4 only) .

But it is odd.. Mezz outright resists etc etc.

Makes the game not more fun for casters. Why would I want 331 dex if resists are way higher?

bah, lame. as if not casters was nerfed enough already.

Hehe.. Well.. Like I said: I respecced and 'only' got 41+4 ICE. And using a lvl 41 spec-nuke should get more resists then a 45 one I had.

So I switched to 50 baseline but also more resists. And the resists on AoE-root lvl 39 is higher then lvl 39 AoE-mezz too.

I gonna replace my staff and gloves soon (stuff where I putted +wind on) and see how I do then. Not really fair to run around with gimped +skills is it :)

But I also noticed other people complaining, so I am not alone in it.

And yes, nice they fixed parry/block-bug, because tanks specced 42 or 50 in shield to get no huge defensive benefit which wasn't fair too. But if they fixed that with as result more miss/resists it's a bad fix.

Even when that berserker misses my theurgist I still cannot cast.

And I hate archers already. Longshot goes through self-BT. Out of nowhere I get shot faar out of range for me while having PBT up.

Anyone considered the fact that mid can field groups with more melee members. Isn't this a small nerf for caster heavy groups (read alb/hib) who do not have 70% of the group hitting targets melee?

Sounds like a minor nerf to melee but isn't this in fact a bigger nerf to only the tanks in caster heavy groups (or groups containing casters at all)?

Can someone explain the difference to-hit between 5 mids hitting a single target and a hero a champ and BM hitting the same target with 2 casters standing mezzed like tits? Cause i'm reading this as Hit Hit Hit Hit Hit for mids and Hit miss miss miss Hit for hib and probably even worse for alb (more casters typicaly) everything else being equal such as WS for all tanks.

Or have I misread the small print here??

And LOL @ mythic for doin sommin so major to grp melee dmg output an not checking the effects v's boss mobs.

Nothing there defensive bonuses affect either, just the final hit/miss. They borked the code somehow, seems as if nobody knows exactly how.

uh
the game hasn't been fun for casters since spellcrafting came in (imo ofc)

this wouldnt matter to me since i soloed before patch, and still solo now... and i notice a change
