Okay I am now returned from the holiday partying!

So as we seem to have convinced many people to buy the game hopefully we can all play it too

Bought Winter Assault yesterday.

Once I sort out the stuttering problems that don't seem to be gfx related I shall be ready to rumble.

Must admit I bought this meself a few weeks ago but haven't got around to playing it properly yet.

Demo for Dark Crusade is pretty good, the Tau are an amazingly well balanced race and quite powerful. Should be pretty fun to play with.

Ok.. major gfx issue averted.

Don't know what it was but a few tweaks here and there seems to have sorted it for the most part.

I was getting well over 60 fps but the game was stuttering when scrolling. Some forums seem to suggest it was possibly shadows, securerom protection or the AI as it doesnt happen when the game is paused.

Anyway, I'm ready to recieve a beating.

ahh poopies tilda, we were on msn at bout 9, played till now. Much fun was had, last game had a full scale eldar v marines war going on, we managed to both build up hooge armies.

There was something about battle for middle earth 2 that put me off, I couldnt tell you what it was the gameplay just didnt appeal.

Deebs, regarding BfME2, I really enjoyed the first one, although preferred the story mode to the multiplayer.
The 2nd one, i played the demo but didnt buy it due to cash shortages.
It strikes me as a good improvement, with lots of tweeks aimed at improving multiplayer games, however I dont have the time nor the cash to buy it atm.

It is good, not great but very solid. That said I prefer RTS with a free build setup and alot of the modern RTS seem to be drifting away from that. Thank god Company of Heroes is out this week, that game is pure genius.
