Everything I am reading on the net and hearing on the radio suggests that isn't the case, ITV don't have the money and Sky/C4 can't get the audiences to justify the salary. It looks like the BBC tabled a piss poor offer and said take it or leave it, he promtly walked and I don't blame him as he is one of the few people who can deliver ratings for the BBC at the moment. I am gobsmacked that he quit the Film show and Radio2 as well.

I don't think he's worth what they paid him personally. I mean he's alright and can be funny but jeeze even if he was a comedy genuis he still wouldn't be worth such a stupid sum.

Xmas tv this year was utter crap, with the exception I am told of Hamlet...which I frigging missed!, I'd rather they just had unknown presenters and better programming tbh.

Its probably not about the money - he has enough of it - he's probably sick & tired of all the bbc's political correctness. Don't get me wrong, I find the guy REALLY annoying, and I thought Barry Norman WAS the film show. We definitely need to see more of Dylan Moran on TV, but I don't think he'd be the best fit for the film show

I did find him in film whatever year it may be as informative and credible

gone off the boil, he just isn't funny if he can't be crude
or spout out endless innuendos, which he had to reign on.

His chat show had got cringy with me constantly hoping he could pull out a funny line, he used to be the best but his performance on that fundraiser (Children in need or summit) was utterly pathetic, he was floundering
for lines and I just couldn't watch it.
