Light saber rocks in Jedi Knight II. But that's an outstanding part of an otherwise crushingly dull game. Used to play online saber-only fights quite a lot.

Downloading now...

(Why am I telling you all this?)

Downloaded the demo.

Plays quite well, but doesn't have enough over and above JK2 to justify shelling out any money on it...

saber fights are a lot more fun in this game especially in the later levels when you get to play with dual sabers or the saber staff (darth maul style saber)

This probably sums up the game, I think. Like JKII, the entire game is based around 'locked door, where's the switch?' GOOD GOD DEVELOPERS THIS IS SUCH AN OLD AND HACKNEYED CONCEPT!

Basically, I can't find anything so far that could justify a full retail release. This is an expansion pack, and a pretty weak one at that.

There is nothing, NOTHING to distinguish it from JKII (and remember that was largely dull). Dual-sabers just don't cut it.

I enjoyed Dark Forces and then Jedi Knight + Mysteries of the Sith. I gave up on JK2 before I even got my light sabre.

Summo is spot on, no findee switchee to open dooree for me, thankee.

Looks like I won't be bothering with this one either.

Use jedi-sense and you'll see a glowing sign on the floor and the door use force-push on the door at the point that's glowing and it should open.

Alternatively, saw off your own penis and pour salt on the wound. As much fun and saves you the cost of the game.

I love the demo, espically with the saber and dual lightsabers, makes it more fun and the inclusion of the MP force powers from JK2 is great.

I love trying out all the moves and pulling amazing ones without knowing how, to impress friends.

Well, I enjoyed the previous one, but for some reason this demo left me unmoved. I don't think they'll be getting my money this time.

if it was being sold as an expansion pack for JK2 and retailing at around £15 i might have considerd buying it

but £35 or whatever for that?

do activision think games players are all a complete bunch of idiots or something ( i would have used stronger language but i dont wanna be banned just yet ;) )

The mp is just going to be a glorified omnimod imo - nothing new.

Then there is the online stuff where players decide to allow less and less of the game funtionality.

First they will complain about weapons then using the dark side of the force then some of the stronger saber moves will be turned down, then they will object to using the force or pick-ups altogether and bang there you have it a group of people running round trying to hit each other with a couple of glow sticks - fun eh

I think not :twak:
