Hmm... I don't know why everyone's being so negative about a game after playing a 2 level demo (if they've even done that).

The demo quite impressed me, remember this is a SP demo, and can only rate it as such. Points I liked:

1. Inclusion of all force powers
2. Ability to grow the light or dark powers, while standard ones progress anyway (need pull and push so why have to waste your time on them? thanks devs)
3. Customisation of character, saber, style. (limited, but this IS a demo)
4. Collection of missions to choose to undertake (this is what becoming a Jedi is all about, patrolling the galaxy, peace keeper, investigating and when they don't answer Q's or submit to mind tricks, get yer saber out).
5. Guided/play by the side of Chewi, Kyle (hopefully Luke, Han and so on in the full version, PWEASE!)
6. Lots of cool knew moves, flipping all over the place, spining my twin sabers.
7. Variation in saber techniques and special moves, single saber, twin, double-edged have standard and unique moves that look very nice, and yes others make a return.
8. Character motion is fluid, fast and impressive, we all know about walking alongside a wall, but I managed to (by accident first time) run straight up a wall vertically like Sonic the Hedgehog with a Ferrari after him and I got VERY high to my surprise and then I could backflip off. Oh and you can now grab onto a wall and kick off it too, handy manouver.
9. Force effects/graphics enhanced, in jk2 when you force pushed/pulled someone it looked like you where letting smoke out of your hand, in JK3 (JK:JA, whatever) it's a ripple effect in the air, much more ontrack with the films.
10. Puzzles are cool, that door got me too, hehe. Wait until later, it catches you out again. JK3 tip, if you're stuck, use Force Sense and look around, something glowing might get your attention. I thought this was rather good, I'm sick of games that have a big red button infront of you all the time, what's the point? This is using your abilities, like later on before the end of the level, I found Force Speed useful. It's not a simple case of find key, put key in door! It's using your abilities, and thinking for a moment.
11. The Enemy A:I is better, not marvelous, but better, the Dark Jedi managed to jump around after me and only once one of them managed to fall to their death on their own (again, a demo!).

There wasn't anything that I didn't like to be honest, I would mention it, it worked very well and I can easily see myself buying, playing and really enjoying the SP of it.

As for the MP, well can't judge it yet, but the SP controls felt good, so MP should be good. It's got all the standard modes, plus two new ones. Siege and power duel, both excellent ideas. Siege, you have to complete tasks to win a match (heh, more than just kill everyone, sure that will put people off) and power duel, which is basically 3 people assume the roles of Darth Maul, Obi-Wan and Qui-gon Jin in the last battle sequence of Ep1, which in all honesty is about the best thing Lucas has done in a long time :/ (although Obi-wan and Bobba Fett battle on Camino was entertaining).

Anyway, as someone who was put off JK2 after all the kicking damage after 1.03 update, I definately intend to get back into MP'ing with JKA. I just hope there aren't anymore obvious MP flaws like JK2 had, my only concern, which we won't know until it's released and everyone's playing it online.

It's got potential, but it's not worth full price, just ain't enough new in to justify that.

Better than other crap that has been released recently... there has been nothing good MP since BF1942, and now that ain't so hot either.

Nothing new? The entire story is new, new moves, new mp modes, new sabers.

Come on, it's a bleedin' sequal in the games industry, WHEN do you get anything majorly new in a sequel? sequels are all about making the game the previous one should have been, tweaked, improved and better version, but it's the same formula. If it wasn't, it would be a different game all together.

And this is a demo! Surely on that bases it was good, no? I loved the second level, was just what I enjoy.

I honestly don't see why anyone interested in this genre/star wars wouldn't give it a try, if you really don't like it, take it back (GAME do a 10 day returns policy ;) )

Still not worth £34.99. A new ENGINE! Might've made the difference.

Still, I get staff discount, so I shouldn't really complain muahahahahahahahahaha :D

Patches? Expansion packs?

Very few PC games come out at £34.99 now, £29.99 is the standard, the last game to annoy punters was Tomb Raider, before that was C&C: Generals and before that was Cham Manager 4.

Oddly enough, all games that were heavily returned to stores for one reason or another.

Patches: Fixing technical problems with the game that should have been done before it went gold, but the marketing department demanded it to be released in this financial year/for Christmas/before competition.

Expansion Packs: The game has a huge following, so they capitalise on getting money out of consumers by making a large patch with more maps/chars/levels which took them all of 5 minutes to do. Also, it's too big to download realistically, so they sell it in stores for £19.99.

I personally would like to see expansion packs more like £14.99 or £9.99, HALF the price of the original, I think they're expensive for what they are.

Cant believe I wasted my time downloading it. I played JK2 to the end, payed good money for it, and now they re-realse it with a few more features?

This is an add-on at best, as with jk2 the duels are the only bits worth it. It is ridiculously over-priced for what it is.

You don't work for Game do you? Every new PC release has an RRP of £34.99 with the odd exception. It's just moronic competition that drives the prices down. Still walk into your local Game and most of the titles released this year are still £34.99 on the shelf.

What he said.

Example: Half-life 2. Online price: £26.99 including delivery and GAME promising to take it back should the unthinkable happen and it turns out to be a pile of excrement.

I have a question about my Pre-Order of HL2... Which copy have I pre-ordered?!

There's three versions the SinglePlayer only, the SinglePlayer+MultiPlayer and a Collectors Edition, so which one have I reserved?

I wouldn't mind the collectors edition depending on how much it cost...

Actually I'm changing my mind...

Just played through the second level twice and I'm liking this game. I'm bitter that there isn't enough to justify a full retail release, but those saber moves are just too much fun.

Although, I played through the level first time with one saber and medium stance and struggled to get through. The second time I chose light and duel sabers and found the whole level really easy.

Stance imbalance or light just suits me better? Yeow decaade...

As I've said before I love the demo, but I love the fact theres some great moves init for example, I have already learnt how to only use one lightsaber when I've got Two and while fighting bring in the second one to suprise the enemy and kill them.

As u fight u do a saber throw then press 1 or whatever button u got assigned to saber and then press saber throw again all the time while attacking, the following things will happen:

1. It works prefectly death to enemy
2. while other saber in air enemy swipes and kills u
3. nothing happens
4. other saber comes up after enemy has moved

p.s in truth I have only pulled this off 3/10 times GL

I liked the move with the twin sabers when if you force push someone over and then attack forward you crouch down and pierce them through with both sabers simultaneously :D

or with the Saber staff kicking them to the ground then pressing LMB afterwards and doing a cool spin thing before stabbing them.
