Nah you should go any way, I will admit I went to max power live :/ (thought it kinda sucked for the price and the drive there tho) any way when I got thing there I pulled into the car park and some max power tshirt wearing bloke comes over and asks me if I wanna park my car outside the building for free saving me 6 pound and a long walk, well I hadnt even cleaned it and the wheels are slightly curbed but I did had to go through security n stuff but I ended up right outside the building with some other cars and it even seemed to get a small crowed lookin at it from time to time so I was chuffed :)

Gonna have to giv it a rip up the sprint track at trax 2001 :D

Bigger drops happen at 21 and then 25 although don't expect too much since car insurance companies didn't make any money last year.

Yes, I'm well aware of this. I'm just saying my costs should *start* seeing a drop soon.

Which is just as well because I could buy a Lotus Elise in a few months and I'm well tempted :(

My insurance went down from £1680 a year to £1100 a year. I moved from LS6, one street away from the street which has the highest car crime levels in the UK, to S10 which is one of the poshest parts of Sheffield.

Would like it to go down a bit more though :(

Perhaps when I get a bit older innit.

£2000 for car insurance. FUCK ME.

Let me say that again.

FUCK ME. - (not an invitation nor instruction)

I must be getting old (yeah - probably)

Youngsters must have too much money to burn to pay £2000 every year for something they might (if they are unlucky) need to use.

I just got my insurance renewal in - £257 including 2 named drivers and protected no claims.

AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS PRICEY.

Generally speaking its the excess that comes down when you're 25, not the premium. When you reach 25 you are no longer classified in the "young driver" bracket for voluntary excess.

£2600 to be precise :)

Mind you, that was last year, this year it was only £1600. It is a bit of a painfull feeling though, £4200 in 2 years on something I haven't used yet :(

Aww then we won't be able to take the piss outta the shitheap you try to 'show off' which you currently own :)

Nice cars, I'd buy one if I was rich(ish) but I'd have another more down to earth car an'all cuz I'm a skiv apparently :)

Well I dunno loads bout the in's and out's of insurance but for me, cheapest quotes come from CIS (www.cis.co.uk) and the funny thing is, excess is only 50 quid :)

Hey you'll love this, some twat in a Renult clio (puffa jacket, baseball cap, mates in the back all male, listening to rave) pulled up alongside me at the traffic lights in the left hand lane(straght ahead onle), glaring at me as if they knew me. I was in the right hand lane which enabled me to go staight ahead or right. He gunned his pissy little engine, I gunned mine and although he had the smaller car I would easily have whooped him once my heavier cavalier got the momentum, however as this rude boy started off before the lights were even orange I decided not to let him have the satisfaction and turned right.
He passed me later on but I was with about 10 people all on skateboards so the let us off with just a glare.

Seeing as we're on abaaaat Fiat's, I want a Punto GT Turbo.... with a bit of a boost upgrade, decent air filter and decent performance exhaust system so it has around 175ish BHP so I don't wheelspin forever, and I want it lowered on 16's (not 17's I want ace cornering but for it to look nice too so 16's are a nice compromise) but I aint got 4 grand innit. Arse.

Punto GT. Nice Car. Nice Engine. Shame the chassis hasnt a hope in hell in controlling it.

Fast Fiats are very hit and miss. Some work wonderfully (original Uno Turbo, Strada Abarth 130 (anyone remember those? Rattled like buggery, made more noise than a lawnmower, and broke down every 3 miles, but christ they were fast as fuck, and went round corners like they were on rails), Cinque Sporting (Dont laugh, driven properly they can eat much faster cars for breakfast), Coupe 20v Turbo (dribble) and the Barchetta), but others are best forgotten (Punto GT, Mk2 Uno Turbo, Seicento Sporting (They softened the suspension and somehow made it slower) and the Tipo 16v).

I just wish Fiat had gone ahead with the Cinquecento GT they were talking about. They took one look at the way Italians drove and decided not to. Bloody Italians :)

Yeh I heard nasteh things bout the chassis as std on punto turbo's being pap... bit tall too aint they so nasty in big winds @ speed :) but slammed 60mm on a proper nice kit wud sort it out I bet... maybe a front strut brace too. Nice cars really cuz they don't rust like fookin Uno's :)

There's a guy selling a MK1 Uno Turbo for 650 squid on Overclockers.co.uk forums... low miles etc etc, v. clean, non thrashed... nice car, I'd get it if I could spare 650 + insurance...

I remember the Abarth 130 :) Saw one the other day actually, worra noise.. lol. At school I won an award for music or something so got loadsa book vouchers, I went and brought a book on the history of the Abarth 130 :) Used to love 'em but most have disappeared now it seems... nice cars
