I used to be a mechanic many years ago and heard the story of the woman complaining about a funny soundy engine, the mechanic looked inside and saw that the woman had pulled out the choke and hung her handbag on it.

Rover 200 GTi's really are shit. Understeer like buggery, and my sister's went through 4 sets of front tyres in 2000 miles because the suspension was designed wrong. They were built by lepers aswell.

I wouldn't actually buy a 220 GTI... bit shit engines, I'd buy a 216 using a Honda twin cam 16v (good engine before u start.. ickle bit like the vtech ones) plus they're cheap cars... Or I'd have a 220 turbo for speeeeeeeeeeds sake. With a good suspension set up they're fine. As standard they're very wallowey (sp? lol)

Anyways... @ least they dont look like cinquecento's Did I spell that right? Who cares
