Hello I have a 500gb Seagate Harddrive where the Sata power is broken does any one know if it is possible to find replacement boards Seagate can't supply one. P/N is ST3500320AS. Thanks.

If you're able to find the exact same drive with the exact same firmware and configuration, it is POSSIBLE to swap the circuit boards over. You'll need torx screwdrivers and a load of prayer.

I had a 20GB Seagate IDE drive that had some cherished pictures that got a fried power regulator. By chance I found the exact same drive, firmware and configuration on eBay a few months later. I bought the drive, swapped the circuit over and emptied the contents to another drive. Then I swapped the circuit back and ditched the broken drive.

Thanks for that i do not think there is enough data on there to take that chance as the drive is redundant.. I just though you would be able to buy the boards somewhere :)
