Sure you can, if you one that won contracted a fatal heart disease from the fight but the loser didn't - then the winner would die and the loser would become the winner by default.

Therefore he would have lost the fight, but won because he was still alive.

Unless it was one of those strange contests where the 'winner' actually turns out to be the loser, in which case the winner wouldn't have won.
