Maybe it is not, but we can only see how good it is from actually playing it. Squaresoft haven't really let us down in any of the other games, so i s'pose i have a bit of faith in them. But if it is Shite, then ill go back to actually finishing FF8(gets well boring imo, worst of the series)

how far did you actually get in FF8? Some of the bhest bits are on disc 3, then you have the MAJOR challenge of beating Ultima and Omega WEAPON and the graphics are nice, especially on a PS2 with texture mapping

Very last boss thing, theres 3 in a row or something, i get stuck on the 3rd one. So i basically chucked it to one side when FF9 came out

I agree, that eye thing was wicked, but it makes it difficult to say which was better.
FF7 or FF9

hmmm, i liked battling WEAPON in FF7, and going on the road to doing it, like with chocbo racing to get a golden one and get the Knights of Round materia, the interactivity was exeptional in it

But FF9 had you explore two differant worlds (kinda) and proved to be more of challenge.

Probably FF7 because it was something so new and i have done everything in it two times over

aye, i liked the bit where you went to a space casino/games place (the name escapes me)

But it has been a while since i played it as my ps1 was b0rked, but now i can play it on meh ps2

I thought the story was stronger in FF7, but that big fluffy character (dice?) really sucked, so it spoiled the character aspect, but sephiroth redeemed it.

Although FF8 did have it merits, it was not in the same leage as 7or9

but i did like 7 better as it was the first of the series that i had played, but i still liked number 9

Ultimecia has got to be the weakest character :/
there isnt enough build up to kicking her ass, half of the story is against seifer (tedious) and Edea :/

yes, it definately did!

PCGamer reviewed it back in i think it was 1997 and gave it 93%

rather speshul it looked with a 3dfx card too

And im on the second time through, but my ps1 is b0rked. I want to play it on meh ps2, but i dont seem to be able to get the data from the old memory card onto the new 1. So i would have to start again, and i can't be ar$ed
