GOA Launches Foundations open Beta

Does this mean us english players cant test it at all?
Tried installing everything and running it, but only returns a error.

Would be REALLY REALLY nice if we could test it too
But as usual we'll pick up the crumbs that the french throws away.

But it might just be me, can anyone else get it to run?

Still all in french tho.

It's kinda much harder to translate from american to english than to french i think

To install Foundations for the Open Beta :

Before being able to log on Gorre, you will need to install Foundations on your computer. We strongly invite you to follow the procedure below :

First thing to do is to make a copy of your DAoC directory. You will use this copy to install Foundations, and this will allow you to return to your usual server without trouble.
Download Foundations, Shrouded Isles Isles (around 55Mb) and once done, install it in your newly copied directory of Dark Age of Camelot.
You now need to manually open and modify one of the files in this new directory. The file is called "update.dat". Open this file with a text editor (notepad for example, but avoid Word or other advanced text editors which often format your text without asking). Once opened, replace the existing lines by these :

Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21 :1280/updates/french/isles/mpatch.dat
193.252.123.21 :1280/updates/french/isles/mpatch.dat

Make sure that there are no spaces (or blanks) at all. Sometimes text editors will add spaces for you at the end of the lines or before some characters. Also be sure to remove the "blank" in these lines before the " :".

Once done, launch your Camelot.exe file and follow the patch procedure. Since Gorre is currently in French, you will patch to the French version of the client. If you cannot launch the Camelot.exe file, check your update.dat and be sure that there are no blanks anywhere.
Done patching ? Good, now you have a French client in this newly copied directory, time to get some Foundations patch. You will need to change your update.dat file again, this time with these lines :

193.252.123.9 :1280/updates/french/isles/mpatch.dat
193.252.123.9 :1280/updates/french/isles/mpatch.dat

Again, make sure that you don't leave any blanks in the lines or that the end of the lines. Save your update.dat again and close it.

Start your Camelot.exe file once again and there you go, patching to Foundations for the open beta. Once done with this, you can log in on Gorre using your current active account information and discover the joy of housing.

Basically if your not sure of what your doing, and arnt confident making a mirror copy of the game files dont try this, or youl end up being able to log into Gorre but not into any of the main servers (so youl need a re-install). At anyrate the whole servers in french, so being able to test anything if you cant speak french will probably limited and very frustrating.
