I don't know most of those bands but I'd hazard a guess at doom and black metal mostly.

Although there seems to be an odd exception in there, is that the Long Distance Calling I'm thinking of?

Waiting on initial Big Chill lineup before I make a decision. Really enjoyed last year and the location is fantastic.

Pretty jealous of Protest the Hero, Meshuggah and Animals as Leaders.

Meshuggah is just like a CD played loud, it's crazy. Their live dvd was so enjoyable.

It's mostly death metal/deathcore but also a bunch of other stuff. I wish it was more black metal since that's my absolute favourite style of music but sadly black metal bands seem to rarely come to england, I don't think it's very popular here :( Only black metal band on there really is Enslaved, maybe Triptykon a bit.

I have no idea who long distance calling are tbh, but they are on the same show as protest the hero so I'm gonna see them :p Any good?

My brother is getting the tickets for both of those and in the facebook message he sent me he put O2 academy birmingham for protest the hero. Hopefully he meant London because Birmingham will be a mission to get to lol. Job for a cowboy are playing with Cannibal corpse, enslaved and triptykon in some tour called "destroyers of the faith" which I guess is like a pisstake of the defenders of the faith tours that metal hammer organised. I'm not sure where I'm going for that one but I would imagine London or Bristol if they are playing there. Will probably be Brixton O2 academy, I always seem to be in that fucking place lol.

Yeah I'm really looking forward to all 3 of those. I've seen protest the hero once before and they are awesome and I've seen Meshuggah at a few different music festivals and they are always amazing. They have a new album out this year too so I guess they might be playing some of that. I've never seen Animals as Leaders so that should be awesome.

Also for music festivals I'm going to Bloodstock and possibly also Hellfest or a different metal festival this year ^^

I have a chance to go see Soundgarden. I really like Audioslave, saw them a while ago. Also like Chris Cornel. So can't decide. Will they disappoint me?

So far I'm going to see Reel Big Fish, Rammstein, Blink182 and Tragedy. I'm trying to arrange going to see Alestorm too seeing as they aren't coming to Newcastle like they should.

I'd love to see Rammstein but they only play massive arenas with terrible sound and no intimacy.

I saw them at the Manchester Apollo in 2002 and it was pretty awesome. Not only was there a *LOT* of fire, they also went crowd-surging in a rubber dinghy! They had big things that shot out huge flames, guitars that shot out flames, masks that shot out flames, little things on the floor that shot out flames...lots and lots of fire, basically. I was somewhat let impressed when Till pulled a huge fake cock out of his pants, pretended to sodomize Christian for a while and then sprayed the front row of the crowd (yes, I was in the front row) with fake jizz. Altogether too much intimacy for me!!

This morning I got tickets to go and see Garbage in May this year. I'm super stoked because I only found out it was happening about an hour before they went on sale!

They've never disappointed and the last time I saw them I was literally 3ft away from Shirley Manson who is still super hot imho.

Modestep was the other night. They're pretty good, although their stage act still needs a little work IMO.

They don't have a big back catalogue at the moment, so it was the established tracks plus a couple from the upcoming album, intersparsed with lots of their remixes. Their remixes don't work as well as their properly original material, and as a result it's a bit up and down. That said, the performances of their original tracks were VERY good, and I have a lot of love for the vocalist's voice. Good to see rocky dubstep being played out with passion and real instruments. On a side note their lighting setup was VERY effective at creating a hyped atmosphere.

Ordered tickets to Bestival today, full lineup hasn't been announced but there's already the following that I'd love to see that are playing there:
The xx
Sigur Ros
Justice
Nero
Emeli Sande
Orbital
Warpaint
De La Soul
2manyDJs
Four Tet feat. Caribou
DJ Yoda
LTJ Bukem
Scratch Perverts
Camo & Krooked

etc....
