Im pretty sure I said from the start that May would fuck up brexit.
Theres every chance now she will use the drumming as an excuse to roll over to the EU.
Ukip are dead, the whole thing is feeling like a setup.
On the one hand, really pleased that horrible cow has been punished for her hubris, and the worst Tory excesses will be curbed for a while. On the other hand...nah, I can see all kinds of issues but I don't really care today, Tories needed punishing, shame it wasn't worse.
Who's next in line for the Tories? Amber Rudd? Boris? Fuuuuuuck.
I imagine it will be Boris, it doesn't really seem to matter how much of a dick he is publicly or politically, he still hangs about. All he needs to do is fall over a chair and everyone laughs with him, what a character and so on.
I come from old school Tory.... My mum helped canvass during the early Thatcher years etc etc.... I was absolutely horrified by the call for a snap election and then revolted by their pitiful campaign... Today's results although highly disruptive are deserved... FU Farage (even though he personally didnt stand), Sturgen and May..
North of the border, Indyref 2 fatigue has come home to roost. Not surprised by the seats in the north east, there's been focus in the Scottish press with the fishing towns (mostly Brexiters due to EU fishing quotas) saying they're tired of the EU, the SNP's pursuit of the EU and prospect of another Indyref as a result - the Salmond and Angus Robertson seats being quite a warning shot. The SNP had it too easy for too long, so in a way I'm glad of a stronger opposition position holding them to account and keeping them in check, wee Ruth is right person to do that; she's a solid politician.
South of the border, LOL. Tory arrogance punished, she called this snap election thinking she was going to walk it and it's backfired spectacularly. I've just seen a BBC breaking news tweet that she won't resign - o rly?
