Use Firefox with the Down them all plugin and you can tell it to grab all the images links on the page.

Hi guys

Very random, but I recently heard Dell are set to introduce a new LCD display. Having check the facts, it's a 24" widescreen Samsung LCD, 1920x1200 resolution (thus supporting full blown 1080i high-definiton content, providing the PC is up to it), 1000:1 brightness, 500:1 contrast, picture-in-picture, integrated 4-port USB 2.0 hub and flash card reader, and VGA, DVI-D, S-video, composite, component video inputs, and a response time of 12ms. At ~$1000 it's good value for money at the mo (that's on special offer, seems it may have ended now). The UK should be receiving it soon.

Kind Regards

Jonty

No doubt at a rip off inducing £1000 ;)

lol, sorry Ch3tan, I'll be quiet then :) I hadn't actually posted in this thread before, so I guess I should have trawled through and actually read it before I did, hehe.

Sorry again

Man. I went to order the 32" TV, but the courier company is City Link. The same people I've had grief with over three different shops. Looks like I'm going to have to spend 150 quid extra just to avoid them. Fuck.

Hi Clown

I'd personally give them another try. £150 is a lot of money, despite your bad experiences with them (personally on the odd occassion I've used them they've been great, but I guess you never can tell).

Kind Regards

The next retailer up sells them at £150 quid more. Which was what I was going to do. Jonty, three times they pretend to come to my house, never leave a card, once made me go a million miles away to the nearest depot which is a million miles away from a tube station.

They're bastards.

OK - back to 19"ers.

Would you still recommend the Hyundai Imagequest L90D+? After reading that OCUK thread it has kind of put me off. Any other good alternatives for games? Some recent external review would be good.

Or should I just save my 300ish quid for a couple of months to see what comes out?

I ordered a Toshiba 32WL56 but they're taking their time distributing it to the shops. I'm going to cancel this order and pay 200 quid extra for a Hitachi 32LD7200.

Weee.

It's not as big a problem as first thought.

Originally Sky were of the opinion "HDMI/DVI only, component output can GTF".

Things have changed slightly, it looks like they will provide "vanilla" TV via component but anything that's exclusive (pay per view, pay for footy/boxing/movies etc) will be HDMI/DVI.

Makes sense.

Ok, I'm interested in a replacement for my Ilyama 19" CRT.

Saw the LG L1915S for £210, and it has very good reviews, people were commenting that the Dell was an LG and I've had LG monitors in the past and they've been okay. Only problem is lack of DVI, is this going to be an issue if all I ever want it for is the PC ?

I have DVI on both my TFTs, i wouldn't like to be without it. Analogue isn't as good I find, but it's still good.. if that makes sense.
