Funniest [Advice] you've been asked?

Over a month after my Sorceress was on the /advice list, I suddenly got two, yes two requests in one day!

The first was asking how to spec his Cabalist!
The second was having trouble with his soundcard, and wanted to know how to fix it!


/proof that Sorcerers aren't played nearly enough?!



Well, there must be some better ones out there... so lets hear it :)

I've been asked for damage buffs and for heals. Also had an armsman ask me how he should spec, so - naturally - told him to re-reroll as a proper tank... :)

Dont know if it really counts but :

Have had people whine at me for not ressing them (I'm a Merc) - even to the point of demanding to know which guild I belong to so they can report me, had to laugh at them. Sorry.

Best one was one of my retarded friends having a laugh with a new character. I get a send 'Can you answer some questions about Mercs' ? I say 'I'll help if I can'
Question was 'When do I get to use two weapons ? all I have at the minute is a stick and some shitty ice spell'

And I actually answered him, bah. What a fool :)

:) LOL... truth is...thats all they'll ever really have mwuhahahaha...

I was asked to buff someone...when I replied that all my buffs were either pet only or self only, I was told I was a liar and it was typical of a "fu.cking EoO" (his quote aimed at my guild).

I was asked how does one PAUSE the game :D which gave me a little chuckle.

Luckily the guy was new to the game and didn't know that mages can't buff, so i corrected him and sent him on his way :)

(probably doesn't count but was funny all the same)

Aha so it isn't just my paladin that gets pestered for buffs.

I mean how many plate wearing buff classes do you know?

I get 4-5 /sends a week asking "How do I spec a hunter"

assuming they did /who Hunter and got all my guildmembers

I also get a lot of people asking me "Are you Solid? The Thane?"

Best one ever was "How do I attack monsters?" :D

I was surprisingly patient (and not surprisingly they were level 1!).

The 'worst' one was "How do I make weapons?". I then spent the next half hour trying to explain it - even getting the icons onto the hotbar took about 10 minutes !

A couple of months ago a low lvl player came up to me while I was buffing myself up. The following conversation took place:

n00b - Hey m8, could you buff me plz?

Me - Sorry, no can do, I'm a ranger and I only have selfbuffs.

n00b - Yeah right...thanks for nothing you selfish bastard..

:)

Some lower level Enchanter asked me, if he could set his Underhill on 'aggressive' and go afk for 2 hours, while his pet "farms" mobs.
*sighs*
I would be l50 if it worked like that...

Get asked for rezzes a lot as well, tho it gets less and less now that I'm no longer near the lowbie area's.

Fin: asking for Debuffs, cool! I should remember that :D

i had a level 5 mystic ask my hunter how to spec a spiritmaster (i think i talked him into making a supp runie instead)

I remember being in a 20's group with a druid who got asked for a rez by a level 4 :rolleyes:

lvl 8 arms - "what weapons can i use"

me - "well how are you specced?"

arms - "specced?"

me - "you know, using your points to improve skills, the ones you get after each level"

arms - "what points? and where can i use them?"

<sigh>

[edit] ive also seen countless paladins that are specced in 1h weapons of one damage type and then 2h weapons of another...

[edit again] oh and yesm im also confused at how he chose to be an armsman but didnt work out speccing.
