Fun in the Laby

Just had to share this moment.

Stuck a dd storm down near the bottom of the stairs where the realm guards end at the Albion corridor to the Hub. Got zerged by Hibs as soon as it was down. Then some Mids came. Watched a very nice, extended fight between Hibs and Mids, most entertaining (And got realm points/kills every time anyone died, cos they all ran over my storm). Mids cunningly had their own stormlord, and pushed my storm into the Hibbies, nearly winning the day.

Then the albs rezzed me and we zerged the both, but that was fun too !

Managed to make a few quest steps (/wave to the Mid that was on the same quest, and tried to kill me rather than the Doppleganger that was attacking him. I almost killed it, and we'd have done so if we both had attacked it, rather than both getting xp deaths!), more than I've managed in primetime for a while, and I can't complain at 15k rps whilst trying to avoid enemies solo in 1.5 hours!

Seemed like the fights in the Labyrinth last night were moving back and forth, which can only be a good thing.

I jumped on lastnight for a bit of light relief between domestic chore shite and it was pretty dire outside of labby. Going in aint really an option for solo caster that doesnt want to drag around a bb. Was nearly as dull as pve'in my shammie to 50 on avalon.

I'd thought the same, but I was a solo firewiz, with no bb on stick. I found it better than out of primetime, when you just get zerged by stealthers, rather than visibles that you can at least attack!

We could whine about "creative" forum names though, would that suit you better? ^^

On a more serious note, I think LotM is a really good expansion cause it introduces nice ideas, a funny environment and the PvE content is rather well done (nothing that needs hours, you can quickly go somewhere and just kill it on the run, really nice).

I also like the new Quests, cause they give good money and they FINALLY lead players into the classic areas again. I mean I seriously had people asking (Albion) where Campacorentin was...it made me a bit sad tbh

Have been enjoying the labyrinth myself, have had both ends of the "stair camping" stick being trapped in by hibs and trying to do the same thing back to the hibs (with mids in the back, albs in the back of the mids, guards popping... totally chaotic and fantastic fun).

Mostly running in pickup groups with my smitor but managed to gain some RP on my dusty old earth wizard too... it's not all RPs RPs Rps mind you racking up plenty of deaths

If you're looking for a fair 8v8 challenge or 1v1 challenge (or anything that's in the slightest bit fair to begin with) it's really not the place, despite the hub looking like a dueling pit However if you can ignore or better yet revel in the the wildly varying conditions and chaos it's great fun.

Not done a lot of PvE further into the lab yet but I've not had that much time to play *mumbles something about 4 month old babies not sleeping*

Labryinth has been great Fun nicest release in ages from Mythic.

We got RvR and Pve what more can 1 ask for

This is like DF used to be like love Lord Aragom had fun killing him twice before Mids came and disposed of us lol and admit his remains and Cerbouses look great in my house.

Hope it don't end up being deserted like DF is.

on a personal not i love thepve side of the labyrinth, decentish drops, wander around as a duo and trio and kill most things....can even kill cerberus with a bb and arms.....

Had the first "camped" yelled at me when i ported to agramons lair by mistake, which i found really funny.

I have found wandering the labyrinth id more fun than waiting/camping for a fight.

You see an enemy fighting, or they see you its more cat and mouse hunting, i think more exciting too, have had some good fights.

one note: Liloe, first time i seen you in game attacking my mates bb, if it wasnt for the steps i would have caught you .....well escaped

The labyrinth allows for a more tactically attack deper down ..no massive zergs....

Board of the hub, go for a wander with a friend and get some loot, never know who or wat u might find :england:

not really spent much time in the laby here so far but have been exploring the place on Gaheris and it's rather fun and quite lucrative (especially with an opulence mythirian equipped )

My bow dmg is really crap ^^ So I hoped I could get him before someone noticed, but it was really impossible =) On the other hand I didn't want to meet an armsman face to face but the chase was a nice thrill :wub:

I find it varies. After giving up on other methods I either zerg surf my way deeper, or wait til my realm gets lots of killspam and try to run deeper solo. Both are effective strategies. Once you've got deeper once, and activated an obelisk, you'll only need to reach the hub stones to port to it.

Once past the hub it tends to be only occasional meetings with realm enemies, and they are normally as surprised as you !

I agree on that, it's a bit crap to die in a PvE zone and come back to laby. Means you gotta housebind all your chars :/ Sux on a Server like Avalon, where there's no place for houses anymore.

lagg aint too bad.. its far worse on US servers tbh..

considering i am not exactly runnng on state of the art hardware and the size and complexicity of that zone, i think lag is really low in the lab. ok the usual `inc` lag, but i don`t mind that. if i see how much lag has improved outside of the laby, it really seems like they did a lot of finetuning to their engine with this patch.

been in some reasonable sized fights in laby with 2 accs running on one PC and not had any lag apart from when re-logging one the accs
