General site annoyance

about 6 months back there was an update in the site, since then (yeah i have left it long to speak up now) i have always had a problem with the site.

when i post in a thread it shows the thread as a dull blue indicating i was the last poster...as it should.

but if i browse other parts of the site etc it shows the thread in bright, as if to say it has a reply, basically what im finding is my replies dont seem to keep the post dulled out.

Yes mine do as well, but once i have replied the post should become un-bolded, this does not happen.

if i goto lunch and come back i cant see what new stuff has been posted unless i look at the last poster, if my name is there it should be grey but thats not always the case.

The bolding of the thread after you're the last poster, happens when someone posts about at the same time, just before you.

Atleast in some cases. Sometimes it's a firefox cookie f*ckup.

FreddysHouse forums have been upgraded to the latest version of vBulletin. In addition several of the hacks/plugins/products have been upgraded at the same time.

There will be issues, please post them here so I can track and fix.

Cheers

The Scales button is for reputation. Is this what you mean?

I approve

So it works, its just a scrolyl box now with the page header inserted for some reason.

Deebs my only gripe is the justification on the front page, the long file names are shoving everything out of whack in Firefox.

I can't add repulation, I click the scales and it takes me to the top of the page.
I no longer get a popup, and nothing appears on the thread-page to give me rep.
I'm using green theme.
When I mouse over the scales icon, I get "https://forums.freddyshouse.com/showthread.php?p=2754432#"
Which takes me to the top of the page.

So rep is gone now?

Not sure.

Looking into it. Reputation has not been turned off. It has broken itself in both FF and IE.

It did work just after the upgrade. Bloody thing!

The popup requires that the user has JS enabled:
Code:
<a href="#" onclick="reputation(2754496); return false;">
It might be worth those with problems clearing out their cache and force-refreshing (Ctrl+F5) and see if that helps.

Found the problem. Tossers changed the rep code and I haven't changed a couple of templates. Only one thats broke now is Steel Blue.

Bugz, enjoy ya rep.

Edit: Fixed all styles. Oh look a WoW one...... \o/

Might just be me but since the upgrade, sometimes clicking a link will just take me to a white screen and i'll have to refresh the page before that to go to the link properly.

This is a known bug with VB, or at least it was. I'm not sure if this update will have fixed it.

Last couple of days had loads of problems accessing the boards - nothing changed on pc etc. This will be the 3rd attempt to post this as well as first time i got an error page :(
