As for cameras, anything will do tbh. You might look at the Canon 1100D. You don't need a macro lens unless you're doing truly tiny stuff. The proper definition of "macro" is that the image of the object will be physically bigger on the sensor than it is in real life and current crop sensors are 22.2 x 14.7 mm so any zoom lens with a decent minimum focus distance (MFD) should do. I don't know anything about current lens offerings but maybe the Canon EOS 1100D Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm IS II Lens is a good buy for £309. That lens can focus down to 30cm, which at 55mm will give you a pretty good sized image of anything down to a couple of cm's across.
