I don't consider myself gimped, or I wouldn't continue playing him. After all, my nuke is 0.1 second faster in cast, as well. Regarding the level 50 baseline lifetap, I am sure you are aware of the fact that this is only introduced in the dreaded 1.65 patch, where resistance debuff gets a hefty nerf. So while enchanters have had their fun ever since resistance debuffs were introduced, I will never get to experience it.

I think you should really try playing mid or hib on excal, and face the albzerg...maybe then you would understand what a fucking moron you are complaining about mids/hibs running in more than 1fg sometimes.

Lol, I play at loads of different times throughout the week, and Albs are outzerged 20 out of the 24 hours. There will be fg Hibs or Mids running around Emain way before the Albs can make a fg.
So there is no excuse really. Albs zerg cause of inferior classes, you Hibs will zerg cause sometimes 1,5-2fg random Albs will beat a Hib group. Same goes for Mids. As soon as one of their fotm groups die, in comes the zerg. Fine that you do not want to lose, but you lot expect Albions to bend over each time while you rp whore away.

Yeah, true, I've respecced to get the 50% spirit debuff as well for the benefit of air theurgists in our guild. Still, assisting is going to become harder in 1.65 when the duration of my body debuff (and cold vs heat debuffs for Mid and Hib, respectively) gets halved. I can agree with the self-debuffing part of that argument, but I do not agree with the assisting spec-nukers who happen to use the same damage type getting hit by the same duration nerf.

they fixed/nerfed the self debuffs in a bad way, they should have put them on a resist that they cannot self debuff or something

In my, biased, opinion, they nerfed the resistance debuffs solely because of the great number of enchanters out there "exploiting" it. Now, before Arnor replies with some acid remark about rolling more spirit cabalists ourselves, let's just agree that the reason there are so many enchanters around is the fact that pretty much all exping in Hibernia these days is based around enchanters and their focus shields.

So, again in my own, highly biased opinion, the best way to fix the situation would have been to simply move the resistance debuffs in the enchanter mana spec line to the enchantment spec line (incidentially, this is exactly the situation for Cabalists). This would mean that enchantment suddenly becomes a viable spec line, and that the mana line gets a deserving nerf from having all of the "goodies" of the class (focus shield, PBAE and resistance debuffs) to becoming a little more balanced.

i personally think either none, or all casters should be able to self debuff, its kinda stupid 1 class can do 5xx damage with a base nuke with no assisting whereas a spec nuker can only do 300-400 without assisting.
