In Forgotten Few we're like 2-3 out of like 6.

Think most women have gotten into the game from their other half, from chatting to others seems most common. ^_^

I do have 1 male char, tho purely used for switching items in Goth, called Handsomehelper heh.

I was talking about this a while back with another female player at a guild meet-up, and we were classifying the female daoc players you find out there (obviously this is from a woman’s point of view so is much more bitchy than a man’s would be ). You have:

1) The Girlfriend. This is someone who plays daoc on a casual basis, and pretty much only so she can spend time with her boyfriend as she can’t get a conversation going with him unless its about the relative merits of Battler or Malice. She will play occasionally at the weekends and evenings, rarely RvR, and will slowly struggle up the ML and artefact ladder.

2) The Geek. This is someone who is just a female equivalent of the standard daoc player and comes in various flavours, including: PowerRvRer, PvEWhore, and CraftNerd, however they are able to use their feminine wiles to get the best loot/get on raids/get in gank groups. Often mistaken for men playing female characters.

3) The Bitch/Goddess (depending on whether you’re female/male). This is someone that nobody’s sure how they got into the game, but EVERYBODY knows who they are, and who they’ve gone out with/cyb0red with/sat side by side in Llyn Barfog “holding hands” with over the past 3 years. All the male players worship them, all the female players despise them. They usually have enticing surnames, tasteless avatars and go through the male daoc population like a vindaloo through a very short donkey.

Women can sometimes be a combination of two or all three, or move from one status to the other. Personally I think I'm a combination of 1 and 2, or at least started as 1 and moved on to 2 - I don't think I'm a 3, but then I would say that

We have about 10 women in our guild and 3 of them are officers. I've met 3 of our guild babes at RL meets over the past 4 years and they have all been a great laugh, although one always manages to spill her drinks on me.. But that’s probably more to do with the fact that she's scottish and very exciteable This one particular guildy ran off with half a bottle of my JD once on a London trip :<

Generally, or in my experience female daoc'ers are fantastic. They are usually very chatty in /gu, very helpful and just generally text book guildies. I think given the choice I'd gladly have more women in our ranks, and that's not me being a tart either .

lets see, i have 8 lvl 50s and 1 lvl 48, out of them 5 are female chars and 4 are males (the point with roleplaying ^^)

im a girl, 21 yrs old (eliya, who naetha confessed to liking hey naetha <waves> )
i met my bf on daoc, so kinda fit into girlfriend a bit, but i play more than him.. i got a bit of geek, and i also got a bit of control freak in me.. but im not 200lb, and i have plenty of control over my real life all my chars are female norse, id have serious identity complex if i played a male or a troll or smth. i have a kobbie, but shes turned into my alchemist, cos i cant play smth blue with such horrid long arms
there are quite a few girlies in my guild, Sarumans Hand mid/excal, and they are all lovely, most have men at home with them who play too.

i think guys assume everyone they meet on daoc is male, so they assume the number of girls who play is much lower than it actually is. but if u took the time to ask, then i think ud be surprised at how often u are grping with girls

i play norse for the same reason u dont khrin cant play smth that looks totally unlike me irl, tho actually i dont have a blonde char, cos thought it might be nice to play a red head etc. even if i felt i could cope with wierd skin, i couldnt handle the massive boobs that trolls have. or hairiness of valkyn, the skinny legs on frostalf, or stocky dwarves. feel much more comfortable with a body where it curves in and out at all the right places
