Weeping Willows and Anathema aint really metal in my book. But sure I do, I just tend to get bored and move on alot faster with other genres but you can find anime soundtracks, classical and alot of soundtracks in my archive. It's not something im willing to rate as my favourite albums though.

Weeping Willows actually sounds like it was made by some big band singer from the 50's-60's, Elvis springs to mind at times. It's quirky but I dunno, I love his voice. Guess it's kinda wierd to find it in a list consisting alot of metal but that's the power of having memories to songs I guess. :)

I suppose the variety of sub-genres within metal gives you the variety. Looking back at my list, it looks quite varied to me but to others it looks like I listen to nothing but rock/indie. Which is pretty true.

Blackwater Park > Morningrise :)

Look at my 2nd last choice . :D
To be honest I didn't even like music until about a year and a half ago. All my mates were into rap and crap like that, which totally didn't appeal to me. Its quite difficult to find a genre of music that suits you because of the same crap you see on television. I think someone sent me Marduk - Death Sex Ejaculation for a joke on IRC, and from there I just began to listen to more stuff. :)
I didn't own a single album or mp3 (Not counting christmas presents;)). Its only recently I started to listen to Metal and I really enjoy it. :)

Pointless task, too many good albums to choose from, would actually take about a year to decide with any accuracy.

mank, think that you might actually like Weeping Willows, really good swedish band. The singer is a very big fan of Morrissey and they often play Smiths covers during their concerts. I recommend their first album: Broken Promise Land

Well it's mostly variations of death and thrash, throw in some alternative pop, an oldschool black metal disc, the simply put best album the grindcore genre has up until now has produced, some kind of sludgy slow metal from Neurosis and to top it off with some relaxing prog/atmospheric rock from Anathema.

1. The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
2. Tindersticks - I
3. My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
4. The Velvet Undgeround & Nico
5. The Beatles - Revolver
6. Belle & Sebastian - Tigermilk

A note on Tindersticks....their first 3 albums (I, II, and Curtains respectively_ are all on about the same level of magnificence as each other, so it's impossible to decide which album to put where. One day i may like Curtains more than I and II and the next i might like II and so on. Honestly there's very little between them. Amazing band.
