Yes, the "Whips and Leather" brigade won. Quite frankly, a couple of riding crops wouldn't have gona amiss.

No one in Europe will vote for the U.K. after Iraq, we went out on a limb to help the U.S. and we have become more isolated from Europe than ever. At some point we will have to make a choice about which side we take in something more serious and I get the feeling we will side with the U.S. purely based on cultural and language reasons.

Anyway, back to the song contest. Who in thier right minds would have voted for that Turkish song, it was bloody awful. :) Was it just me or was the old Turkey/Greece animosity in full effect? That greek judge couldn't help rubbing it in that they had the Olympics. As for the rest... well the Balkans really did vote for each other as expected and it hurt the event as any kind of contest. 3 of the top 4 were absolutley awful and the only redeeming thing about the winner was the bondage gear :D

Funnily enough the pub I was in had it on a big TV and there was a sweepstake running. Sadly I had £5 on Cyprus. Think the winner ended up £600+ prize money, lucky bast :)

It was either eurovision or stars in there eye's kids....... at least eurovision can be muted and still be humourous.

I think to top this years entries, britain should sond in either the Macc Lads, or get someone to perform the "sexual perverts" song in full bondage gear. Don't know about you guys, but i'd watch either way, just for the comedy value.

Nil point for all the mofo countrys who voted for there neighbours :(

i thort purely from a good song/talent point of view .. britain , spain and norway .... but i guess my musical taste must be shit ....

shame people cant vote on pure talen tho . cos after all it is a talent conest after all not a fookin popularity one :(

Nice way to view things. Guess you are kinda scared of teh yankies?

PS: First time I watched Eurovision. Wasn't that bad I guess. Too bad my country (Greece) couldn't do any better. ;)

Ukraine deserved to win tbh :p

And Europe > US imo!

If Blair gave us a referendum I'd definitely vote for Europe, no idea what the rest of the UK would vote tho...

Its not a song contest. Its all about Europe trying to show how they're not 'European'. Its shite, we've all known its shite for years, I'm surprised we don't just fuck it off, like Italy have done.
