No one in Europe will vote for the U.K. after Iraq, we went out on a limb to help the U.S. and we have become more isolated from Europe than ever. At some point we will have to make a choice about which side we take in something more serious and I get the feeling we will side with the U.S. purely based on cultural and language reasons.

Anyway, back to the song contest. Who in thier right minds would have voted for that Turkish song, it was bloody awful. Was it just me or was the old Turkey/Greece animosity in full effect? That greek judge couldn't help rubbing it in that they had the Olympics. As for the rest... well the Balkans really did vote for each other as expected and it hurt the event as any kind of contest. 3 of the top 4 were absolutley awful and the only redeeming thing about the winner was the bondage gear

Funnily enough the pub I was in had it on a big TV and there was a sweepstake running. Sadly I had £5 on Cyprus. Think the winner ended up £600+ prize money, lucky bast
