But i don't want to blame Terry, the guy is heart & soul Chelsea, im more inclined to just put it down to luck & fate on the day.

Don't worry, there's still time to see a second kick off between Manchester Police (1st division) and Russian Police... Most arrests and busted up drunken fans wins.

on talk sport Ian Wright said he was gonna support Man United as he got a text from shaun saying he hadnt even made the sub bench.

Loved that comment, even if meant as a joke :)

And Himse, learn from Vlad and take a loss with dignity. Stop attacking United and their supporters blindly and actually give credit where due and make comments in a civilised manner.

And I guess I am one of the united fans you dispise. I support Man United. Have done pretty much since I was born. I live in a family of united supportors. I dont get to see them live often, however been to games when I can. I dont live in manchester, come from southend (and follow them, dissappointed with getting hammered in playoffs- did you notice we even were playing?), moved around the whole country being in farnborough for a long period (hampshire one) and now live in Glasgow....

so should I be a Celtic supporter (cant support rangers, they dont play football) which means I be jumping the celtic band wagon... and scottish football sucks!

should I solely be a southend supporter?

should I be a farnborough supporter?

or can I be a supporter of the team I have been ever since the beginning? even when we were struggling I was supporting them! Always will.... p.s. Ronaldo aint my fave player... Anderson and Vidic are as I love the attitude they portray. And back in the old days it was Andrei Konchelskis. And I never been one for Beckham.... so am I worthy of being a United supporter? (oh, and I evenrisked life and limb to go to away games vs Leeds! cant get any more dedicated then that... lol!)

Support who you like. I just don't understand how people can get so agitated over a team from a town they have never been to and have no connections to. Its like supporting France in the world cup.

I guess you could look at things like Formula 1 and ask why there's any Ferrari fans outside Italy..
There's more to a club than simply it's location.

I be following portugal in the euros :p Just because of the united influence.. though not truelly supporting them... england all the way, even in this dire points.

And I live in a luxury flat, the neighbour was banging their ceiling (im top floor) because of the jumping up and down... I feel every kick of the ball... where you come from doesnt make the connections, your heart does.

mind you.. i just got worse after the banging, he be pissed now :p

That may be, what I saw 117 minutes into the match was a captain setting an example to his team by being the first into a brawl over nothing.

I can't think of any other captain i've seen in the premiership this season helping his players put on boxing gloves and not trying to difuse the situation. Until he changes that aspect of his game, i'll continue to have zero respect for him.

Totally agree, he is a disgrace. Instead of setting the standard for behaviour he is always the one to lead the mob in.

Yes because all people grew up in the same town as they are now living in. I'm not gonna start because if you have some braincells, you would perfectly know that some people have a "relation" with some foreign city/country.

My thoughts on the game...

I thought Lampard was spot on, in that once Chelsea settled down they controlled the game. Their 4-3-3 dominated central midfield after the first 30 minutes and Essien exposed Ronaldo's weakness that he doesnt like to track back.

I really feel for John Terry, a man who is chelsea through and through. However, he is a strong person and I know he will come back from this stronger. The same can be said for Avram Grant, a man who wasnt even given a chance by his own fans yet comes within a whisker of a double.

For those people complaining about the united players, I thought the 2 worst players on the pitch were makelele and Ballack. Ballack is a right angry bastard and I lost count of the times he was arguing with the ref over something.

Anyway, congrats to united for winning a game, that certainly showed the world, that the premiership is by far the greatest league in the world. The scary thing is, that united team can dominate for years, even if they lose Ronaldo to real madrid which is going to happen eventually, probably within 3 years.

and lol @ Himse in this thread, getting raged by Bugz.

Himse, pick yourself up and dust yourself off. Its football. You are young and your time will come watching chelsea winning the champions league.

You have to experience these lows, to fully appreciate the highs.

Oh i see, so all chelsea fans lived in chelsea at some point? Or would it be because they saw them on the telly?

Does it really matter? I have never lived in America, let alone New England but I love the patriots to death and have done since 1986. Am I not allowed to support them?

What a disgrace of a football match.

Two set of players acting like children, and a down right awful performance by the referee and his two assistants. I don't think they got a decision right untill Drogba was sent off. Every thing in the first half went Uniteds way when it should've gone Chelsea's, and vice-versa in the second.

I couldn't believe the performance of some of the players. Makelele should have been off by the end of the first half, Tevez should have been off for smacking Makelele in the face, Ballack should have been off, Vidic should've gone.

John Terry is an awful captain, and i've said many times befire that it's a disgrace that he is the England captain.

Drogba, as much as i rate him as player, is getting qutie annoying. I don't like all this stuff people say about him diving, because he doesn't, he just whines, but it's annoying. But last night even people like Vidic were getting in on the act.

As for the football itself, i thought it was alright. Chelsea deserved to win it, United didn't know what to do after Lampard equalised. They hit the woodwork twice, but that's football i guess.

I was raging so hard last night rofl :(

Was just gutted, i thought Chelsea for the 2nd half and extra time deserved a goal, penalties are the most unfair way to go out imo :(

I remember being a young lad and making the 500mile round trip to wembley to watch ST Helens Vs Wigan and wigan spanked us 27-0. It was awful. I was inconsolable comming out of wembley with gob shite wigan fans laughing at us.

But times change and now we spank wigan every game we play them. Swings and roundabouts.

In other news, Ronaldo says he will sort out his future in the next 2 weeks!!! COuld he bow out of united on a high and sign for real madrid?

Its good that Chelsea didnt win.

The last thing we want in Football is that MONEY really does bring success. I know Manu aint to different, but le Ruskie JR Ewing could buy Manu with his spare change.

Why do people single out Chelsea?

I hate too much money in football, but United spent a fortune last summer, and without Hargreaves, Nani, and Anderson (Combined total of £50m+) they wouldn't have the league or the CL. Liverpool spent £25m on one player this year, Blackburn bought the league in 1995, Wigan and Reading both bought their way into the Premiership with big investment (7 or 8 years ago they were both old division 3 sides). Chelsea are no different from anyone else.

Once again, another clueless view on football.

Money doesnt buy anything, yes sure you can get some good players, but you might put 11 players on the pitch that hate eachother and be unwilling to play together.

Money doesnt buy Teamwork.

Do I sense bitterness? You've never won the Champions League, so how do you know the emotions going through the players?

PS. Incase you get confused, I havn't won the Champions League either.
