Char transfer from one server to another is not possible due to language barriers. A transfer to the American servers cannot happen either due to BLA BLA BLA BLA

Woah.. If account transfers were indeed to be implented from EU to US it would be awsome. I think alot of oldtimers would return. Those who eventually quit due to inactivty on their servers but without the will or time to restart on another. With account transfering this boundry would be gone.

great news potentially, but i refuse to get excited until i see what's actually going to happen. people in guild are already frothing in the mouth over playing their old characters again but i have to say i'm apprehensive to believe they will transfer all the eu chars. it is a MASSIVE undertaking and well, with the limited staff they have now, will they deem it worthwhile?

Current scene hosts no 8v8 on the US servers. Atleast nothing that I've seen. Hardly ever bump into people in RVR.. Out of luck? Maybe. Would expect endless RVR on a 3000 people server, but noes.

speaking only from the experience of a few night's of rvr in the week leading up to christmas - i've seen lots of 8v8 on ywain. a few nights we had constant inc on agramon and one night we even had trouble getting there due to the amount of action.

admittedly, if you don't fight on agramon you get added on a lot, but regardless it was good action.

well, true or not doesent matter. GOA had the license still and werent about to let any potential subscribers go. and Mythic probably werent interested enough in breaking the contract to convince them. (wich would probably mean giving GOA compensation and a release fee)

its quite possible GOA didnt want to renew as i'm sure Mythic would be happy if they did as it means less work for them.

but still, if they can work out how to transfer characters to the US servers then i'm sure gonna look at getting my shaman, BD, SM and Thane over there as i quite miss those gimps.

As someone have pointed out elsewhere, there's actually no mention of a transfer to ywain - just taking over the playerbase. So I guess at the extreme end of things, it's possible they just transfer the servers clustered as they are.

I would think as minimum dyvet would end up clustered with ywain, even if the germans and froggies are kept on their own superclusters, but who knows.

Reckon it's a definate rather than a maybe Gahn, they'd have to be reallly stooopid to make an anouncement like this without having already sorted the basics first, which also involves a 3rd party (GoA).

Main thing I'm worried about is whether can transfer to existing US accounts, as last thing want is a bunch of toons spread over 6 accounts or whatever. Hope they sort details soon anyhow. In limbo a bit with what to lvl and play etc till they sort it.

Has that ever happened? As far as i know the 'elitist *****' have always figured out a way to have their way of playing the game away from the highly populated areas, leaving the so called 'for Arthur' way of playing to those that want that.

If you wanna zerg and add and whatever most people go HW/Emain or Odin's while the fg crowd go agramon or some other not so populated zone.
