Eearth theurg ?

I have a lvl 20 theurgist on Camlann....if i go full earth spec until 40 and then change to air...would that be good in pve ?

I figure earth pets would be wery good to kill things with compared to the air/ice spec...just because the air/ice spec would have higher mana consumption.

I have no intention of pvp activly before 40, because i think its a waste of cash...its always somebody higher lvl than yourself thats going to gank you easily.

The whole idea with going earth is to get to lvl 40 as fast as possible...
I will have no problem lvling away from people, and i will offcourse be able to gank people i get a jump on.
Even if im gimped pvp wise...

What do you guys think ?

Im also dabating lvling up my skald on Camlann....im not sure whats best tho =)

earth sucks for PvE; because the pets die fast when hit so the aggro transfers to you.

Better go Ice i think or air for levelling


Air is decent if you find undead mobs. Otherwise Ice might be better

Earth thuerg btr for lvling provided ur doin it in grps, just stick pbt on and away they go.

And earth pets actually last 30 secs longer than ice and air pets and hit fekin hard for blue cons. I think if ur plannin on PvE till 40, i wud go earth then respec to either ice or air for pvp.

Ice I think prolly the best.

AE Root is nice to have wen ae mez is purged by a fg.

i like ice as you have defence i.e. snare when ppl who will find you attack you. also when you got heavy aggro the snare pets can help you get away.

also if you pull mobs from a grp they cast so get no aggroo

on places with bunched mobs teh earth pets pull all.

You've never played an earth thuerg before have you mr bahumiknowjack.

You debuff pull mobs with the haste debuff, then kite a lil and start spammin pets further out, pets get agro as they do damage where as u only debuffed it, and wala.

But who is going to solo a thuerg from 20-40 in pve? No one... how useful is a pbt thuerg compared to a thuerg that can just spam pets and run out of power? Alot more.

Air thuerg can nuke fair enuff, but runs out of power fast with nukes.

Ice does pets that dd, fair enuff, but they cost alot of power.

Earth thurg stiks on pbt and sits down or is given pom and it never runs out of power, then they can spam pets on a mob if desperately needed.

Obviously you've not read the 'Thuergs For Dumass Pallys' manual...

People won't grp an ice or air thuerg for a pve grp over an earth thuerg.

May be perceived as boring, but i think its fkin hilarious runnin away from someone who is trying to hit u after being haste debuffed while u got pbt runnin and he has 5 earth pets hittin him from behind that he cant loose as the pets have a constant speed.

thats bollox earth sucks you cast 2 maybe 3 pets. no one castss from full range unless you at mm. the areas arent big enough to capitalise on 2000range

also when you cast yeah they got the pets on em but you have no defense other than running. they can chase you and still hit you. earth sucks tsabo hence why no loser on pvp has them. no /20 dont count as they respec ice anyway yes im right thanks you and take me to my leader

You ever been in a guild? lmao, just get into a reasonable guild and set up pve xp grps urself. its easy, ppl always up for something away from PKing.

You aren't helping his question u tit, have u read his post? he wanted to PvE the whole way from 20-40...

And thuergs do have close range defense, 1. haste debuff, oh look they hit slow. 2. pbt, oh look ur hittin so slow u cant get through my pbt. 3. Quickcast root.

Plus they have a pulse speed, so sprint a lil and let speed kik in....

If you're gonna post, post something useful for someone. Try reading what they are asking and helping. Not posting some random old shit.

I'm playing a theurg at camlann atm, and it's lvl 25now, i'm going full air to level 40, then respeccing. my final spec will be 35earth 41ice.

What can i say, i like this air spec really much so far, can qc aemezz, send some stunpets, and specnook hard :]

sorry Tsabo but afaik the "pulsing speed" wont kick in if you run away if you have had pbt on, as pbt will cancel it, also pbt is castable, rather than the warden insta pbt so it will drain power the whole time you are pulling/kiting. However, i do think you are correct, 20-40 purely PvE go earth, get in a guild and cast pbt and sit on your arse.

My theurg is ice/wind atm and lvl32 i think. But most of my xp comes from pvp, for which the ice pets are awesome. Get to 25 ice for the pets that'll stay blue con throughout your career, 3 earth for self bt and first haste debuff for interrupting and then start pumping wind for the spec nukes and the stun pets.

Two ice pets can also kill just about any yellow/low orange con, though sometimes a series of resists means you have to cast a few nukes yourself. If you got cash try looking for TOA ROgs with +power pool%, it really helps in pve.

Not sure about earth, probably better in groups, but getting groups isn't the easiest thing to do if you're not in a guild.
