Had someone who kept ringing up asking us to confirm my address and details. But I had to just hand over my address, without them telling me anything about why they wanted it, which I wasnt happy with.

Anyway, finaly gave up after a few phone calls and arguments, gave them my address and it was a debt collection agency for ebay. I'd sold something and my credit card had expired.

Where the heck do I stand on something like that? They can't just ring up asking me to confirm details without telling me what its about - it could be ANYONE....
Not to mention they claim to have sent 3letters, I opened one today when I got home, which was the only letter i've recieved.
  1. How can they send you letters if they're asking for your address?
  2. If you give them your details, you're the muppet. You don't have to do it.

Have Ebay contacted you regarding your account? They should have, you can't just go saying nothing and then call in a debt collection agency.

You should ring them and sort it out, agree phoning you and asking for security details is out of order.

Ebay have sent multiple emails, but since I have an email address just for ebay I havn't read any of those as im not currently selling anything, althought I thought they would have tried to contact me over the phone or by mail...

Anyway, thing is if I didn't confirm my address in the end, my dad could have ended up with bad credit and stuff couldn't he :S

I'm not actually using my car at the moment, so if I get a speeding ticket throught the post I'll ignore it. Then I'll give my personal details to a complete stranger over the phone, because he kept asking.
Funniest thing I've heard so far today.

Well not quite the same but I see where you're coming from ;)

If they had posted me a letter I would have seen it come through the door as I go through the door on a daily basis, unlike checking email :p

May bid mate. How often does it fail to read? I only want one so I can play Guitar Hero :p

Erm, I only actually have problems with Madden tbh, which is about the only game I play on it these days. But if its broke for others I aint giving a refund, so better not to risk it :p
