hey all, be4 me and my m8 moved to Mid my m8 logged his scout and respecced him, Im not sure what line he respecced but when he took out all the points he get 40 levels worth of autotrain back in 10 points or somthin, now would this work if I took all I got out of stealth at L40 then get my L40 auto train points ?

Hmm... hard to word this really... ok, think i got it.


Basically when you respec the trainer will perform the auto0training thing to keep your skill within 1/8th of your level. However, unlike normal auto-training where you get the skill level for no points cost getting the skill to 1/8th will cost you points...

Sooo... if you didn't autotrain your skill and you respec you won't get any extra points, and if you did autotrain you will have the same number of points because the autotrained levels are also taken into account when you respec...

Well i hope that made some form of sense because i'm too tired to think of a better way to put it, i think it was described better in the patch notes where we got the full respecs (1.65 i think...)

its easy.

if you put points into an autotrain skill that goes above 1/4 of your level, those points in the lower half of that 1/4 are lost and cannot be recovered with a respec when the autotrain level kicks in.

e.g.

you keep stealth at your level since level 1, and you have now hit 50.

you go to respec stealth and you will only get 3/4 worth of 50 levels of points back because autotrain locks the skill at 1/4 of your level.

now if you put points into a skill that does not get autotrained from lvl 1 up to lvl 50, you will get ALL the points back.

good armsman trick actually, throw all points into crush from lvl 1, and you get decent combat ability, and when you get to 50, respec into thrust or slash and make a profit on the points
