Well no cyclists this morning and few cars on the way since it was early but on the way back saw a driver on a mobile phone going around a roundabout and then pass through a red light at a T junction while a car from the other direction also passed through a red light going right at the T junction.

Of course we will all see more motorists break the law or take chances than we will cyclists, thats because there is a much larger % of cars on the road.

I drive in london (the city and greater london) 5 days a week, I can saftely say I see a larger % of cyclists that have no regard for other road users than I do cars, but thats not to say I also dont see a fair few twats in their metal boxes.

The worst ones are those who filter up the middle of 2 lanes while sat at a red, go straight through the red and then sit inbetween the lanes at abour 10mph so no one can over take.

Yesterday alone I see three cyclists go through a red at a junction one of which nearly got taken out by a lorry, and lost count of the amount that went through reds at crossings and then had to take avoiding action so they didnt crash into the people crossing.

One went hrough a red and cut across my path, then looked at me as though to say "what the fuck are you doing"

Ok.

I've been driving round central London the past two days and I've changed my opinion.

London cyclists, or the ones I encoutered, were a bunch of absolute fucking wankers. Seriously, cunt off every last one of you; my rage was flowing so much that I wanted to get out my car and twat one of them.

nice work by the police tracking him down then...........................:twak:

does make me wonder why the car owner hasnt been done, surely if its his car and yet he wasnt driving it he could either be done for obstructing the investigation (not saying who was using his car) or he didnt report a crime when it was stolen....

true, but then a lot of questions are asked if your "stolen" vehicle is used in a criminal act, i mean if my car was stolen i would report it... seems a bit suspicious otherwise!

Why would the driver punch the cyclist? He has a god damn car, and doesn't need any effort to drive but he goes and punches him. TIT!

So, motorists (or their passengers) need provocation, eh?

That's an outrage. Forget it being about cyclist v's motorist; it's disgusting.

I'd imagine that he'd pick a fight with someone in the pub for "looking" at him.

Proportionately, i wouldnt say so. But there be more drivers... because there are more drivers. But bet the ratio is more inclined towards twat cyclists.

Idiot almost caused an accident this weekend, coming up to the brow of the hill on the way home, and some idiot on a bike flew out the cycle path and straight into the road infront of me without even slowing or looking. Good thing was that I was always on the breaks as was coming towards a speed change zone, but still needed to take avoidance action.

You know that it was a completely stupid move by the guy, when the other 2 cyclists with him gave him the "WTF are you doing you twat" look.

That said, plenty of idiots in cars as well. lol

Meh, anyone had a car driving towards them down the wrong side of the road this week?

Anyone?

Cos I had a cyclist do this yesterday with no helmet, etc.

Lets be honest if you are a cunt it doesn't matter if you are on a bike, in a car, or on a motorcycle. You're still a cunt.

There are youtube channels dedicated to idiot cyclists: this one recorded by a cyclist

‪sillycyclists's Channel‬‏ - YouTube

and oh look here is one of drivers doing stupid things.... recorded by a driver

‪roadmonitoroz's Channel‬‏ - YouTube

And there is probably a load of videos of cunts on motorcycles too.

Fact is if you drive or cycle in an area densely populated by motorists your chance of meeting a cunt in a car increases. Vice versa if you are in an area heavy with cyclists. What do all these people have in common??? Erm, they are all cunts!!!

Rule 101: A cunt using any form of transport is still a cunt.

i always wondered how the hell you are supposed to go through a roundabout on a bike (without getting abused or knocked down), as it can be a bit tricky, if you stick to the lane idea as a car would you get abused (or knocked down!), and if you stick to the outside kerb, you'll get whacked by cars trying to exit...

if it was a busy large roundabout i usually would take the pansy option and simply get off the bike and walk as a pedestrian to the exit i want to go before hopping back on bike

When I use roundabouts I do so just as I would if I were driving a car. I occupy the whole lane while signalling my intentions. Many roundabouts have an interrupted cycle lane around the outside edge - don't use them, they're absolutely lethal.

I'm a fairly fast cyclist but even when I've been slow off the mark (trying to get my left foot clipped in), I've never had problems like the guy in the video. That isn't to say I haven't encountered similar idiots. Only a few months ago I made a report to the police of a driver who, on a bridleway, threatened to "run me down" if he saw me again.

I still see his car sometimes (the bridleway is a dead-end and he lives in a flat at that end), believe me I'm very tempted to keep a "spare" bottle of brake fluid in my rucksack. A leaky spare bottle.

hehe indeed, if there is not much traffic ill stick to the lane as if i was a car, though this tends to upset motorists (even if it is only for about 5 seconds before i am back on the side of the road or in the cycle lane)

thank godness here in Helsinki theres bike lanes as part of the pavement meaning i rarely have to trouble myself with traffic unless of course they inexplicably end in a bush before starting again on the other side of the road with no sensible way of getting across...though i have only encountered this at city/town "borders", so i guess its something to do with the different municipalities not communicating

Nearly flattened some idiot cyclist yesterday, going round a roundabout in a 3 tonne van and the daft twat still pulls out right in front of me.

I love roundabouts. Full of driver wankers who dont look or use their indicators.

Just saying....

Be more cautious if people aren't using their indicators then.

True

But it would also be good if drivers actually had a clue in how they should act. Personally I find it quite frustrating in a car at roundabouts at times cause people are useless at using indicators.

Oh I'm with you, it winds me right up when people don't indicate, or even more so when they do it bloody wrong. Had some tool going straight on at a few roundabouts last night, he indicated right for every single one of them.

Well, at least in Sweden he SHOULD indicate right for that? :p

In Sweden you indicate either right for right, left for third or more exit or nothing for second exit/straight a head. And once you are inside the roundabout you should ALWAYS signaling right when you exit the roundabout.
