Look on the bright side. If the loot was picked up it would be another ho hum killed the dragon moment. Now it’s one of the moments you’ll be able to reminisce over with other DAOCers

Not really. Heard rumours that you have to be uber to pick the loot when you are dead or in LD heaven tho.

for clarification:

A person who died to the dragon, cant in any possible way own loot. If you die, ownership passes on to the next player.
Only way the owner could be dead, was if he died AFTER Golestandt (which, as i wrote, was my guess).

We know who got the final blow. And that person tried to pick up, and couldnt.

Final blow is not = owner. Whoever did the most damage, owns it.
Therefore, it could be anyone.

And yes. i still think its funny today

Been wondering what would happen in Legion Raid where few grps kill the Legion and rest take the adds. When Legion die, huge pop kills those two main grps and ressers from add grps. People who are still alive cant pick the loot because they didnt do any damage to Legion And I'm pretty sure that when I have been soloing and got killed, someone have killed my half dead mob, ressed me and I picked the loot. Not 100% sure about that tho

Ah dear, that was without a doubt the most hilarious raid I have ever been to, ROFLOL

Murphey is really owning these days, but dont blame eachother, never try to fight Murphey, when he strikes, there is nothing to do but laugh and hope he will miss you next time.

LOL, it was no ones fault and there is not really anything to do about it. Someone had a plan and it worked too well, so Murphey took his revenge. Just enjoy all the laughs you spread

I pictured a few hundred albs sitting and listening to the orders before the next raid , big blackboard and someone has drawn a dead dragon , cartoon style with a "x" for its eyes and it's tongue hanging out , and a great big loot bag with "swag" written across it . The leader shouting "THIS IS LOOT FROM THE DEAD DRAGON , FFS PICK IT UP "

if you werent talking about guilds but members why include the guilds name? I would suggest to put in next time

T-H-E-Y D-I-D-N-T F-O-R-G-E-T T-H-E L-O-O-T, the owner of the loot wasn't around for some reason. They tried BADLY to pick up the loot.

If they actually *forgot* the loot, it would indeed be hillarious. But as the facts have turned out, it's just sad :/ bad planning perhaps.

Yes, there were no gprs, everyone was solo. Loot went to one single person, who wasnt able to pick the loot for some reason.

I just hope the one person eligible for picking up the loot will live in ignorant bliss about this or knows for a fact that there was nothing he/she could have done (for what reason ever), as I know I would be biting into my keyboard if I had to realize it was me who sort of ... well, let it go

Did you Albs not do the dragon before?, if so did u use same tactic? Another thing this thread is concentrating on loot, which is just as bonus of your acheivement, how long did that slaying take and can u give any other info, you think all solo was good idea? or u think you could have done another way now u have a bit more experience?

First time we used this tactic afaik. And no, I dont think it was a good idea Dragon went down in about 20secs(like mostly), only one aoe stun that I saw. Good old zerg in grps is better than solo zerg imo

Well I reckon it was more like 60s, about 30s to get him to almost zero HP, then he AoE stuned us all. Once that wore off he was killed.

So the tactic could be said to work, but we shall have to make sure it does not happen again.

actually, i think the tactic made the kill a lot easier. he didnt AoE nuke/stun or teleport people nearly as much as usual.

With regards to loot. well, it turned out to be a bad tactic
