Most likely since they don't work weekends it will be up on like monday or tuesday, AND then yay im back at college and still no clustre.

My hole holiday i wanted clustre and it's going to be implemented once everyone has finished the holidays so people back to work /school/college/university.

About 1300 people now in the world are waiting for prydwen to come up.. and GoA can't even employ some people to work temporarily over the weekend or clock up some overtime and give some people a little bit of money to do it..

But no doubt there going to 'just' give us EXP bonus so they don't have to pay us because their so bloody tight with money...

Using it all on this shitty new expansion they think will be great when we dont even need a new expansion...

I sincerely hope that GOA don't just increase XP gain over the next week to make up for this mishap. They ought to know that XP is only one dimension to this game and that ML's/Artifacts/Realm Points/XP/Alts ech differ from player to player in their importance.

On the other hand, whilst free artis would be nice, it also means that the entire server will be running around with Jacinas Sash/Bracer of Zo' etc xD

Was first rebooted at tuesday last week for reboot, next it went down wednesday last week:So it is the 9th calendar days it is down now, If you add the previous evening with bugs and reboot (you hardly had a chance to play normally) then it is 10, and will be down some time tomorrow too: 11th calendar day in a row with significat downtime/problems due to this bug. Your mains are on excal, so you have good time, so nice you flame people who can't play their mains and say such problems are normal, and no need to find people responsible and avoid future problem, since you care only for your fun, and don't care for others.

bah had enoght of this, 9,10, 11 days as pass and server is still down tomorow is friday they all go away for weekend and by monday server will be down

if server is still down by tomorow gonna cancel my acc´s and move to US! no point paying for a service that i cant use so bb GOA

And i realy think that GOA should sell DaoC right´s for some company that cares about PAYING player´s...

Artifacts, RAs, ML abilties are an advantage you should get for putting effort into things. People who would have put effort in their characters wouldn't like others getting an advantage without putting effort in it, free artifacts aren't too great.

I think there area 6 different plans for compensation we can speak about:

• Direct in game compensation. Be it xp, arti, RP, MLs, can replace lost items and can be used to balance servers if this incident hurts balance between realms / servers. And very hard to make everyone happy.
• Indirect in game compensation: Events that can mean both fun and in game rewards held several times to compensate for the lost fun in game. Can include direct help from GMs on player ran effects.
• Direct financial compensation: you paid for a service, you haven't got what you paid for, so you get either refunds or free days. It is problematic in this scenario (who is a prydwen player?)
• Indirect financial compensation: GOA gathers the costs of a direct financial compensation, and uses it to make events where every active prydwen player can get free days / expansions / etc. This means, the same costs has a bigger effect for the prydwen players
• Quality of service type compensation: Using the money to make a better web page, to launch servers to have all server types covered, or anything like that
• Community level compensation: Lets place a poll where prydwen players can vote, and split the costs of a direct financial compensation based on votes between different charity effort. To help victims of Katrina, London bombing, etc. Donate this money in name of prydwen community.

I would place an NPC in capitals where you can choose betwen keeping the free days or donating the cost of them to some noble cause. And once per account option. If you donate, you should get a cloak with 0 bonuses but an "unique" skin, and some day, we can have a "parade/march" in capitals with people in such cloak. Maybe if we get in the news with such events for donating (some companies got on CNN page with low amount of donations) that can attract some new players as well

I remember when they said, they aren't wanadoo (french ISP) anymore, but they are part of the phone company France Telecom and owned directly, so their choices about using ISPs aren't controlled by being owned by one. (Ok being owned by same phone company isn't much different.) Now, I don't wanna relly on FT ran phone lines for emergency calls, etc. If it say, you can't call firefighters due to a bug, but feel free to call Microsoft tech support instead and hard to compensate since not everyone needs firefighters... now that would be interesting.

Lol I aggree with you here, I'm just waiting for them to cluster and realize that the problem they thought they had solved, has now occured on Excalibur and then that will be down lol....

Question follows: Regarding to the level of skill this kind of problem require to get solved, have you ever done any REAL work with databases/servers (this question goes to all of you whiners alike) ??? Seems that you're the expert of all systems and databases so plz take contact to GOA/Mythic and demonstrate how well you could resolve all the problems they are facing there and show how well YOU could take care of other paying customers... :touch:

For example: I'm not whining around in some boards because it takes my ISP ages for my connection to be moved from one address to another in my home town... I could do the work they very easily by myself, but I just have accept that I'm not the only one waiting for this service. The thing is quite similar in this case: you just have to accept the time the guys at GOA/Mythic work their asses off to make your server to work again. It takes as much time as it takes, but IMO better to have it working nicely than crashing around frequently, just because they didn't do their job correctly to the end. Am I not right?

P.S. Oh yeah... One more thing to you whiners: GET A LIFE REALLY, IT'S JUST A GAME FFS!!! Do what you have to do, but don't make such a drama about your misery.
