Official forum would have one strong point: For realm specific parts (PVE events) a system where you can see info about a raid only, if you have characters who are in correct realm and somewhat close to requirements to attend...

GOA have given out free days to people who had charecters active on prydwen within the 5 last days days or so before so why cant they do it now?

The excuses that its hard to tell whos a prydwen player or that prydwen players will be annoy if other people get free days are total bullsh1t, a hell of a lot more people are going to be pissed if we dont get free days, i think anyone who moans about players who may not have deserved it getting free days are pretty stupid considering either that or get none at all

As for heightened EXP how does this benefit prydwen players? hardly at all? maybe those lucky enough to have artis they need to exp? only benefits players of other servers, after saying they didnt want to do that? Get a clue?

GOA need to do a hell of a lot to make up for our server being down for a week, as in:

Double amount of free days the server was down
Higher EXP
Higher RPs
Faster respawn rates
Faster artifact respawn, or double drop
make 3/3 scrolls rain from the sky
events

those would be nice and ill take my hat off to GOA if they actually do them but if its just, oh guys just give them double exp and they be happy that just shows GOA doesnt care AT ALL about there customers

i await to see what GOA do, but am i hopeful? hell no

we have to make assumptions as to whats going on because its not exactly precise information and you can take it one way or another

but ofcourse your a fan boy that smells the slightest bit of whine and goes off on one... hello? the server has been down for nearly a week now, with no ETA on when its going to be back up and no information on the state of the server when it does go back up (he said hopefully rollback 2 hours but then again he also said hopefully up thursday?) but we are supposed to be HAPPY when we get updates saying oh we dont want to give you free days? take your head out of your arse

that's a matter of how you define what a prydwen player is

they could make a simple query that will list all accounts which have at least 1 level 50 character on prydwen and was logged on at least once during the four weeks preceeding the shutdown (I think they store last logged on per character and not only per account). This would cover pretty much every prydwen player except those who started exping there recently and dont have a lvl 50 yet.

I can't speak for everyone, but I am not impressed with the compensation idea at all. Prydwen players are playing Excal, Cam, Lyon etc because they can't play on the prydwen server. Surely the fact the other server's population has increased show's how many deserve compensation?! Personally I think they should give compensation accross the board - if that can't be free days, give heightened xp for the amount of time Prydwen has been down. I certianly won't be annoyed as long as the players who have been playing on Prydwen receive something as an apology. Just my two cents.

I didn't realise that they had an official forum when they started. Hell, I didn't even find FH until sometime last year (slow learner ), but to me it seems that if there was too much whine, or at least enough to possibly give a bad impression towards GOA then they seriously didn't plan it our properly or moderate it well enough.

Getting the forum structure would be the most difficult part, but I think if you had to log in with your game username/password before you could see certain boards, or post in certain boards would probably hide most of the whine from the public, and if the moderators were highly active they could easily edit posts or close threads if the whine became too much.

If they thought about it well, and planned it well, a forum in my eyes would do more then make up for the lack of GOA/Customer communication.

As for all these things about free days, and something to make up for the lost of Prydwen for an indefinate amount of time, in all honesty I don't really care about bonus exp days or free play time, as long as at the end of this GOA admit that their current methods of customer contact are near enough none existant, and that they do something about it, and that maybe they would learn from this mistake and take steps to hopefully prevent it in the future.

I'd even give them an extra months subs without playing the game if it meant that sort out the whole lack of official communcation issue!

Since this is an issue related to items. Then its not alot to ask to take the old corrupt database and extract the rp/xp for all characters in the database. Ultimately its a comma separated list of account, character identifiers, and the 2 totals. Include MLx and ML levels while you are about it. You have a routine that performs some kind of online backup while we play, so a modifiaction of that would be an idea. Dropping out the inventory.

Upload these into the newer database using the same key identifies. Obviously if the characters dont exist in the backup, then the data will have to be ignored.

This only would need to be done, if we are going back more than 3 days for a backup.

My problem with higher xp/rp rates, is that you have to be online to take advantage of it and peoples schedules are not always that flexible.

If they compensate Prydwen players with a short period of bonus xp, etc I'm going to be doubly pissed unless they link it to when you next log on. I missed playing on the Bank holiday weekend (even had peace from the wife as she was off to her mother) and I could well be abroad when they get the thing working again If they have a fixed period of freebies immediately following the fix then I'm screwed tbh .

Am not sue what they will give, i am not happy that 50% of the english servers are down, wonder how the Yanks would handle having only 50% of there servers up.

You can bet that mythic would be working 24/7 to get that fixed, instead of us having to wait for them to get into work....

Totally agree with you. Personally I think 2 free weeks or a month's free sub should be in order! Yes, this is a game, but as Bluesky previously posted - the game is an extension of player's RL's. We invest our time and money into it and if it wasn't for their customers they wouldn't be paid their wages each month. The least they can do is compensate us in a decent manner.

Don't think they will give a month free because only the Prydwen players have suffered and if they gave everyone a free month it wouldn't be fair. And how can they find out who plays only Prydwen etc. So prob get some tacky upped exp or somthing.

I've played WoW since the beginning, sure - the reports were good in *beta* - but as Blizzard's support is now, I wouldn't bet on them being much more informative than GOA, except for the fact they have their own forums, and they'd be posting there every now and then instead.

Today (30 Aug) there seems to be a distinct lack of any information whatso ever coming from GOA. I find this rather disturbing. The Mythic techies must have some idea of what caused the problem and how long the fix will take. BTW why the heck are we waiting for Mythic to sort this out. Don´t GOA have their own techies involved with the game?

Xalin has been doing his best, to honestly pass on information but even I can feel his frustration in not being able to pass on more information.
